Well, it boiled down to our entire core raiding team gquitting tonight. The ENTIRE core raiding team (all their best players - as in ICC25 Heroic geared, including Hubby). I was in a 6-man Sunwell (yeah, we're all that nuts), downed Kalecgos, and it started. So some of the newer members asked what was going on, and I explained what had gone down for three months prior to them joining. And someone, a close friend, Otakuknight, told me quite unkindly to "Get the fuck off your (my) soapbox because technically you're no longer part of this guild. So STFU and GTFO."

I am mentioning this clown's name, because he's the fucker who told Brualan and Subutai to kick me out of the raiding team in the first place. What a nice little *****, don't ya think? So I told him to stop being a backstabbing prick...and I gquit. AND put his dumb ass on ignore, but not before telling him to get his wife's strapon out from under his own @$$ and telling him to stop being a good little under-the-table messenger. And get this...the SECOND I gquit, Otaku went CRAWLING TO MY HUSBAND because he realised he fucked up. My husband gquit without another word, joining our 10-man core raiding team on a one-way trip to another server (not Khaz'goroth though, darnit ><). He and his "wife", Bunnie, are now both on ignore, and she can thank his sorry ass for the double-shot.

So, if you all recall my guild name "Indifferent" on Saurfang Server, and you'd like to extract a few teeth...BE MY GUEST.


As far as I am concerned, they are the absolute WORST OF THE WORST raiding guild to ever grace that server.

Ah guild drama.

This is why I decided to call it quits on 25 man raiding in favour of raiding with 9 other people whom are friendly, patient, helpful and genuinely nice to be with in a raid. I never liked 25 man raiding, but I like the loot it drops. But the drama and clash of personalities, egos and attitudes that come with that scale of raiding. So I left the guild I was in and went to a small group that has been around for about 4 years and only pushes 10 mans. It was a good change, though I'm still very tired of the game (I just want to kill LK and go on vacation!).

That we'll be able to raid 10 mans for the same loot in Cataclysm sealed the deal for me, knowing that I'll never have to set foot in a 25 again makes be quite pleased.

Sadly they already have.

Laz is going into retirement as my main. She'll stay alliance (because I like dwarves too much), but she's getting a name change to go with her new home.
Kas on the other hand is my Horde 80 and will end up being my main. I got a long way to go with that boy XD
Whole core raiding team - me, hubby, Ang, Shin, Test, Zeffy, and a smattering of others (including our poached Warrior pal, Dis, from Aman'Thul) - will end up being just a 10-man guild - and the appeal for Hordeside is stronger than ever before.

Indifferent was failing for nearly 2 years now. We geared players as replacements who then left the second they got their last pieces, and the GM and RL just couldn't give two hoots about it. They recruited bad players and geared them, and when they still didn't make the grade, they kept them. Whereas, in my case, they dropped a good hunter for 6 bad ones and still didn't even do HALF the DPS I put in. I put my heart and soul and every spare second into fighting for that guild, and farming, and 400k gold later, I'm out of pocket with a guild who used me.

Saying that I "technically wasn't part of the guild" really burned me. That coming from someone who didn't join until AFTER the FOURTH collapse really screwed me over something shocking. I spent a good part of my night enraged and upset by that. I'm done with the Alliance. I'm done with being burned constantly. I'm done with supporting the Stormwind Lion. Fat lot of good it's ever done for me, ha >_>

Thank you guys for letting me rant so much on what is the final chapter of that damnable hunk of crap that lasted a good chunk of the last almost-four years. I really appreciate having REAL friends here <3

Too bad you won't try to work on things with the crew that server transferred though, they sound like they might be good, reasonable people that won't walk all over a person. Well, I don't want to be pushy about it, give it time. You'll know if you're ready.

It's funny 'cause that's how it felt for me... though it wasn't at the news of raid changes, it was when I realised that my WoW time didn't have to be head-bashingly painful 25-man runs where my "friends" all acted like assholes and loot whores. Knowing that I'll never have to set foot in a 25 again because I no longer let others dictate my WoW time makes me quite pleased.

(I'll just add real quick that I don't mean that people who raid 25s let others dictate their WoW time. I did. It was my mistake, and it definitely doesn't have to be the case.)

A hundred times this. I'm guildless atm, and will be so glad that it will only require 10 in Cata, and am hating the fact that I have to ignore 10-mans and try to pug 25s now.

Sorry that you had to go through all that filth with your old guild. More than happy to hear that you are doing much better with it all behind you! One good bucket can not stop a sub-par ship from tanking on water. Just the fact that you stayed to help rebuild for as long as you did with that kind of abuse speaks volumes in your favor. Good luck with Kas's new guild and hope that Laz wont spend to long out to pasture. ^_^
