Do timewalking dungeons reset Hati appearances?

Unread post by Vephriel »

I'm just curious about this because I did see someone mention it somewhere else. Has anyone run Timewalking dungeons with their essence swapped Hati, and did it reset him at all?

I think I might steer clear of them on Veph for now anyways, I like my mini skeleton too much.

I've heard it does some weird things to hati, like him disappearing entirely until re-called, but I'm not entirely sure. I was planning on running some TW dungeons this week, although idk when I'll get to them. My Hati is currently just a standard pet of mine that I can re-essence, so I'll let you know if someone doesn't beat me to it!

I started this week with a sheep Hati. I went through 5 timewalkers and exited with... a sheep Hati.

Can't guarantee that'll hold true for every skin, so if you're really worried about losing a glitch skin, maybe switch specs?

I don't have Hati swapped but I seem to be "lucky" in that TW seems to give poor Hati a lot of drama. He disappears, lags out, sometimes doesn't walk to a mob at all amongst several other little hiccups. I did report it here and to Blizzard.
I suspect it may wipe several things though. Any food buffs I have disappear and of course glitch tame pets. So I think it's really hit and miss when it comes to Hati.

I did several today, Veph, and my Echo(Greater Talbuk) didn't switch back into Hati-proper at all. I also didn't experience any of the bugs that seem to be plaguing Zed and others. I don't doubt their validity, just counting myself lucky for now.

I did black morass, and my hati DID swap back to his original appearance randomly during the dungeon. I don't know what caused it, and it was not permanent... I dismissed and resummoned and got my eagle back.

But someone could maybe use the swapper if/when Hati drops his appearance to make it permanent.
