Attempting to Get Back Into Art

It's been ages since I've been able to fully commit to something art-based. Sometimes I got ideas and started sketching them out but never finished them. My computer is currently full of half-done pictures that I have no desire or inspiration to work on. Recently I started doing rough sketches to entertain some people in a stream I follow and today had the idea to knuckle down and actually do something to the end. I'm ashamed at how long this took (~10 hours) but damn am I glad I actually got something completed and thought I'd share the silly thing with you guys.



I could still add shading, maybe a chibi Argorok too but that's for another time. This was my goal and I'm happy. Maybe if I manage more art I'll share that as well. That could be a long time though

Hey guys. Yup it's been a while. Inspiration is fickle. However a friend asked me to design a character of theirs in an MLP style and while I was able to do so in a way we're both satisfied, we can't decide on what colour her collar should be! So I was hoping you guys would be able to help us out by telling me which version is your favourite

Ver 1: Gold collar, silver border


Ver 2: Silver collar, gold border


Ver 3: Pale silver collar, gold border


Ver 4: Pale blue


Ver 5: Darker collar, lighter foxfire:

Hmm. I would personally advice for a blue collar, on the ribbon part. Both silver look too much like her furr, but I feel like the gold-one is too lonely in the design. A pale blue (same luminosity as the v3) with gold border?

I like both silver options, but I do think a blue ribbon with the gold border would look nice as well.

Thanks both for the input Inay, I agree on the silver which is why I made the paler version, although it does still blend in a little.
I went ahead and made two blue versions: a pale blue standalone and a darker variant including a change to the foxfire to make those match instead. They're also in the above post for easier viewing between versions.
