Because I want Ogres to be a proper race; with a capital city and a starting zone and I want 2 headed ogres as their version of Allied Race.

I also like this idea. Playable Arrakoa seems more like a pipe dream, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't 100% support these being playable. Give me Arrakoa and Dark Elf rangers and I would be content.

As for things like Mantid, Naga, Arakkoa, Vrykul, Ogres and Ethereals? I think since those are on unique, non-player skeletons, they would be more of a full race job. Sadly, that would also mean that Mantid, Arakkoa and Naga are unlikely to ever happen.

Mantid had their relevance in MoP and are unlikely to really play a big role again. Same for Arakkoa and WoD. If there was any time to give us Arakkoa (High or Cursed), it was WoD. At the end of WoD, leading into Legion could have been cool.

Same for Naga. BfA is probably the biggest and last opportunity for them to add Naga and it's not looking like that's going to happen. ( )

However, Ogres can almost always be added since they are already a part of the Horde and their relevance isn't tied to a specific theme. Ethereals, on the other hand, might be like Naga. A void-themed expansion will be their time to make an appearance as a playable race. If they don't, they probably never will.

I would love Tuskarr so much, I just fear their gear would stretch terribly like male pandaren :O

I think it would be simple to convince the races to fight if a big enough baddie threatened the planet (unless the race was aligned with said baddie, such as mantid and the old gods). I think that part would be simple to explain. But getting them to align to a faction? I can't imagine most races give two hoots and a henry about our faction squabbles.

Theres so many I want to see added, but can't think of a *good* reason why they would align to our factions. That limits so much design space, and feels more and more irrelevant (or shoehorned like burning teldrassil). Or make them neutral and let us choose like pandaren. Just opinions!

As much as I want arakkoa I don’t see them having a fitting time to be added

I agree wholeheartedly about it being strange that the allied races aren't neutral in some cases. The nightborne could have and should have been a neutral race like pandaren, and many other potential races are in the same boat.

According to Blizz, there'll be a questline that'll explain why they aren't neutral. The Horde will get a bigger questline explaining it all, but the Alliance will get something, too.

I mean I'd love playable Arakkoa/Naga/those new snake people but those feel more lofty and uncertain.

Dark rangers (or undead elves, specifically) are something that feels realistic and perhaps even likely, I'm crossing my fingers so hard.
