Petopians US: Entry for Beta Competition

Thought we could use a thread for it. I have a basic idea what to enter, but of course want to see any ideas/thoughts that our members want to submit.

I'm enthusiastic about the idea.

I think we have a unique chance here. I'm going to assume that most entries will be focused on hardcore raiding guilds and such, but we have the opportunity to show a different side of things. I think that going for the angle of pet lovers and hunters would have strong merit and stand out against the countless other entries, not to mention we are one of the official Petopia guilds (which I would assuredly mention), and Blizzard is well aware of Mania and the site.

i would say that we are a casual freindly guild of similar minded people that enjoy the thrill of taming pets and playing the hunter class without the hassle of being perfect,that we are a guild where you can be whatever kind of hunter you want to be,a melee hunter a pet collecter and even the hunter that plays more than 1 hunter character.

Pretty much what most people have said. Explaining that as a hunter specialty guild we would look more into how the game plays out on the PVE side as opposed to some focussed on raiding and pve. Plus there are going to be alot of people looking out for the Pali warlocks and wariors, not many people would be looking out for rangers lol

Yeah, the others pretty much summed it up. Being a guild that's born out of the Petopia community and focused on hunters and their pets is definitely our "angle." I'd also perhaps mention the rampant altoholism in our guild? Might be beneficial since I'm quite certain the 10 that would get selected would play every conceivable race/class combo in the beta if they could find the time.

And best of luck with it. Personally, I don't want to be in the beta, but I know it's a thrilling prospect and I really hope our guild wins.

Dear Esteemed Judges at Blizzard,

I'm sure many guilds write in to join the beta. Raiding guilds. PvP guilds. Casual guilds. But what I bring to the table is something you can't really label like that. My guild is the <Petopians> on US Nesingwary. We have a group of members from the forum for the WoW Hunter Pet Fansite Petopia. Our goals in the beta would be to gather information on any and all new beasts that hunters can tame, and to focus on that. Any bugs, thoughts, or even suggestions I'm sure that come in will be mainly focused on that. Me and my guild believe we represent a part of the WoW community that is so small in its niche, that it doesn't get proper representation in larger, more popular guild styles. And of course there's the fact that, being pet enthusiasts, we also know the hunter class well and would give it extensive testing too. Please, consider us for the beta!

Sounds neat! Just my opinion, but perhaps you should mention something about hunters being the most overhauled class, they'd definately need people to try it.

I thought you had to recomend the people AFTER you got chosen for the beta keys. cause what hapens after they give you the keys and the person u recomended was no longer with the guild?

I like it a lot Rynoh, but I agree with Sat and Teigs. It might go without saying but it reinforces your point, so it'll work well to say it.

I would perhaps say it in a context of the class needing so much testing and we're all very familiar with out class... Something to that extent? Because while we're all pet nuts, we're also all hunter nuts, you know?

Entry was put in. I mentioned that the hunter class would also get extensive testing by our members, with all the new changes done to it. Along with the draft I made up above.
