Pet was DELETED

SO UH.
Not to cause any one any panic.
But I logged on my lowbie hunter, whom has had her Darkhound with her forever, never ever stabled him.
And I log on.... That pet whom was supposed to be active pet, is not there. He's not in my call pet slots while the other 2 are. he's not in my stables.
He is deleted :L

SO I GUESS CHECK YOUR PETS?

I've seen pets "disappear" before with stable changes. e.g. multiple pets seem to be in the same slot.
Have you tested moving pets around in the stables and into and out of your active pet slots?

Yeah, I've tried moving pets around in my stable and all that.
Nothing has brought him back.
He's just a normal darkhound, so its not a huge deal.. But the fact that a pet has vanished on its own is uh.. a little unsettling.
I have a ticket open. Hopefully I'll get a reply soon =\

I doubt "soon" being post-pre-patch and all, but yes it's good to flag it in case it is more prevalent.

I've seen pets fake-disappear when there are caching issues. Have you tried deleting your game cache and wtf folder (just rename them for now) and see if the pet returns?

No reply from a GM yet. Not surprised.
Went ahead and did as suggestd by Wain and I can see my pet again in my call whistle, which makes no sense because I was moving things around like crazy yesterday when I was trying to find him.
So, thank you Wain.

Not sure what happened... BUT considering yesterday I had at least 3 hours where I was able to be on all my toons, even my max level with NO gametime and no restrictions, I'm guessing they just some something else out during the squish.

Ah, glad you got to the bottom of it. The cache really should refresh on patch because it's likely the underlying components have changed - but this is Warcraft
