Water/Silk striders in Ardenweald

The tool tip for the striders in Ardenweald say they are tameable but they are friendly and cannot be tamed. Is there a trick to getting one of these NPC's to aggro so they can be tamed?

For a VERY short time, there was an exploit for Maldraxxi Hunters that let them engage friendly NPCs. That was fixed very quickly, so now there isn't any way to do it that is known. If it's friendly, you can't tame it until we get another exploit or toy with unintended but accepted side effects.

I openly admit to finding bugs and exploits so they can be reported asap and get fixed. You might have seen some of the fun hunter pet side effects posted here in the past.

I will never share how to perform exploits. The only ones who know are those I personally trust to help get things fixed.

There isn’t. Often things are made tamable that cannot actually be tamed, like Friendly npcs.
