What are your favorite hunter pets?

For function or style. I’m running BM now and using a clefthoof for solo but damn I wish bears were better. The ice bears from DF look so cool.

For function, my favorite has been a worm recently. Now that I actually know how to make use of the burrow ability to its fullest, I'm enjoying it. I've slept on their ability for so long, and after the fiasco with the unjust model changes on the baby salamanders and burrowing worms (RIP), I've been using them in Korrak's Revenge to great value. Camo up to the enemy team, move my worm into the middle of their group, hide myself, and then pop the burrow ability to spook them. Sure, it's weak, but I'm sure it gets the enemy team to panic when they suddenly take damage.

For style, I gotta say it's my baby direhorn from the Legion pre-patch exploit. It used to be huge, which was entertaining, but now it's a wee lad. I still get whispers to this day on how I got it, and it sucks that I have to keep saying it got fixed and that people can't get it now.

For functionality, I always love a spirit beast - I use them for every raid/m+ run, as while their heal is quite weak it's saved my bacon a surprising number of times! My favourite example was when the rest of my group wiped on Chrono-Lord Deios on a high m+ key at around 30% health. I blew through all of my defensives, pots, etc and was on the last couple %, and it was my pet's spirit mend ability that ultimately kept me alive long enough to grab it! I usually use Loque'nahak specifically as I tamed him all the way back in Wrath, and he's been one of my main pets since so at this point he's like my hunter's best lil buddy.

Style-wise, I love the Grand Nightsaber models, and in the outdoor world typically like to pair up the Dark Brown and Light Brown ones since they match my (of course nelf) hunter's mog best. I'm also a huge fan of the new cloudrook models, but I really don't like their attack animation so I keep one in my active pets specifically for the slow fall ability. I have to give a special shout-out to the teroclaws though, as the two I have in my stable are always huge whenever they get summoned as dire beasts, and it gives my guildies a good laugh.

Hati is my buddy, always my go to Spirit beast. I also got a Clefthoof named after an old Guild master I use for soloing.

I love so many pets but the delight I experienced when I first saw the new graboid worms is indescribable. as for what I use it's basically "whatever tickles my fancy". I recently tamed Rei Lun on my main and have had a hard time NOT using them.

My favorite pet is probably the Veilwing right now in terms of looks and useability

I like hounds and birds of prey in terms of looks

My favorite pets for soloing and delves is Grong, any defensive pet works, he looks the coolest

Cloud Serpents! and they are fairly tanky, but for elites I have to use a Clefthoof which are one of my least favorite pets visually. I also do like a lot of the spirit beasts !

My Oil-Stained wolf who still has his oil aura lol. I don't dare take him out too much nowadays, I'm paranoid that even regular phasing could do something to his glitch-tame aura, but I bring him out sometimes to show off in Dornagal now
