Need Help understanding food for pets!

Hi I recently Tammed Astera, I cant find any food she likes can someone help? - You all know she's bear form - so fish cheese ect...but everything I try she don't like?
am I missing something? my spec is MM.

Some of the newer pets are broken when it comes to feeding. Not sure why, but the devs seemed to just kinda left out the diet stuff for a lot of the new pets ever since they removed feeding as an important part of the hunter role.

Nowadays some food items are hard to come by. Usually the more you level up, older & lower level items cannot be fed to the pet. During shadowlands feeding was kind of convenient because there was a bug that allowed all pets to eat meat, but it eventually got fixed. The feeding identity is very washed down. I still don’t get how mechanical pets have a diet, yet mechanical bits are harder to come by

So just to clarify pets don't need feeding!? - so this has been removed/bugged during midnight expansion!?

I've researched wow head and this website, which is awesome (Petopia.com) showing a pet diet chart!!
And if you feed your pets, your pets should receive buffs no!? I'm soooo confused!?

Plus could it be I have a special pet and this behaves differently from the normal pet families!?

Pets don't need food. The diets us there as if you do feed pets they heal a bit faster. I never uses it though

Just two questions!?

Why have error codes in red flashing on my screen if there's no need to feed pets!!
"Pet don't like that food"
"Food too low level"

Don't help the cause...
Plus why take the pet buffs away was that ever a thing!? - Bless Petopia good work on the diet chart!! Sadly it's not needed!!
