25% Icecrown Citadel buff now active

The Hellscream's Warsong and Strength of Wrynn buffs in Icecrown Citadel have been increased to 25%.

Yah I think there goal is to help the guilds that struggle with ICC to get a Lich King Kill in.

LK was practically puggable at 15%, they're taking it too far.

Their goal is to get everyone who makes a reasonable effort to see the content. Considering that I'm 10/12 and 11/12, I welcome it, as I'm currently guildless, and still want to see it.

But, there is a bad side effect. It's not that people are blazing through and getting the kills, it's that people are blazing through and being sloppy, and then still wipe on the final bosses, or even Professor. That 25% will mask problems that don't become apparent until you hit a really hard boss.

I'm still seeing groups that can't down Sindragosa, even with the then-20% buff. Execution still plays a part....and you can't just drag two or three terrible players through all of these fights.

Dunno about your server, Saturo, but only one 10m has downed H LK. The 25% buff will probably mean the next group gets it too.

My guild is in an alliance with a few other small guilds. We run ICC25 on Saturdays.

We have only downed Festergut once (two weeks ago, with the 20% buff and we had a whopping 1 second to spare). We failed again last weekend. We have yet to take down Rotface.

Our problem is that we don't always have the same group, and last week saw some new faces, which had yet to see Festergut.

I welcome the 25% buff, primarily so we will have a better chance with unknown raid group make-up from week to week. I so want to get through and see the LK

Because of some drama in my guild, I haven't been in ICC in over a month.

I could pug it, but as a bm, well, I'm not so sure anyone would take me.

My guild just started raiding ICC maybe 6 weeks ago. We feel pretty good that we just killed the Blood Princes last week, so now we get to decide which wing end-boss we want to attempt (Putricide, Sindragosa, or Blood-Queen). I know we're not awesome compared to other guilds, but for us, we're doing really well for ourselves, and we're proud of it.

I think what they want to do is help as many people as possible see all of ICC before the Ruby Sanctum (and then Cataclysm) comes out. I'm ok with that because my guild got a really late start, and it helps us clear everything more quickly. But people that don't know what they're doing still won't be able to pull off harder fights. A 25% buff doesn't give you 25% more coordination and awareness. You either have it, or you don't.

You'd be surprised. If it's anything like my server, all they care about is if you have a high enough GS and/or have the achievements, and once the raid has started if you can pump out the numbers.
