This video of the barrens (Both southern and Northern) is pretty cool. In northern barrens, I couldn't really tell due to it being a little fuzzy on my comp, but it looks like the OL raptor skins might have gotten to the Barrens. I can't be certain, but I could swearI saw it

But most important...

In the Southern Barrens, in the grassland area after he killed the evil plant-vine, I thought I saw something in the background... A pink tallstrider. Could it be that Mazz is no longer the "Solo Flamingo"? only time will tell...

Tis good news for ally hunters that want it, but bad news for the horde hunters that don't want to share their Mazzy-poo

Missed the pink tallstrider...I'll watch it again and see if I can spot it. This won't effect me unless I need to get another pink tallstrider, but at the moment i'm content with one on my level 24 dwarf.

Ah yes, I see it now! Well, I do hope it is tameable or stays there for future Alliance who would like to get a pink tallstrider who couldn't get one pre-Cataclysm.

It seems that at southern Barrens where that huge warzone is, I noticed that there was still one sighting of silithid structure to the northwest of that, so I hope that meant those bright-blue scorpions are all right.

Keep Humar, get rid of Pitch! Ever since I saw Pitch wasn't rare, he's ruined Humar for me really...Walking around with Humar, the only model of it's kind was awesome, but once he gets to level 76 he might aswell be a Pitch, which is why my Humar took an early retirement, which is quite sad for me as he was my first real pet in a way, as I used him as my main pet and never released him to get other pets.

I went through tons of pets until I finally decided that Humar was the one for me, because I like to have rare pets, or pets that aren't tagged as rare but are still not your average, everyday hunter pet! I really miss my Humar, and he would just lose his awesome, rarity if I got him past 75...

I'm going to have to get tons of screenshots with him soon, because he'll ding straight to 80 if I bring him out for whatever reason in Cataclysm when i'm level 85.../sigh

You shouldn't have to ditch your beloved pet just because Blizz had to ruin that special bond between you and Humar once they introduced another black lion into the game. They're gonna keep doing things like that over time, either to save that certain animal skin or keep them rare by removing that skin entirely out of the game or make them untamable once Cata hits.

Even if I wasn't around when Araga had her stripes, I am slightly disappointed they had to remove that and are not thinking about putting them back in or try something else, but she's still a very special cat to me.

I couldn't agree more with Kamoodle. Yeah it might suck that your black lion isn't a badge of hunter honour anymore, but you know he was once Humar. I know many hunters love the unique pets because they stand out, because people see them and know how hard they were to get, but the main thing is your bond with your pet, right?

My old GM had Humar for well over a year before Pitch made it into the game. He still leveled through Wrath with him, and when time came to enter Naxx, it was Humar he took with him in there. The bond was there, even if any Joe Schmoe could tame a lion that looked the same.

It makes me sad to think your beautiful lion won't come out of the stables again once Cata hits.

And abandoning a beloved partner because its counterpart isn't rare is a bit extreme, imo.

well to counter the hole rare skin makes it better thing is that well rare skins are just not that rare anymore as lots of hunters have them its odd now the common skins are the rares lol

Oh I agree, but I personally like the rares over non-rares, simply because it makes me feel more "huntery" finding that one elusive pet.
