New Gnome Starting Zone and No Timber

Unread post by ToxicCreed »

Video Footage

It seems that the boss fight in the new Gnome Starting Zone basically has made Timber obsolete to being in his old area. Whether he was moved to another portion of the zone or if he is completely gone I'm not sure.

But now I think that only leaves us with... 2 White Worgs to tame. The AV Worgs and Ghost Howl from the Horde Starter zone. I feel kinda gipped a bit, I loved the White Worgs.

Just watched it and you're right. His area is now a 'battlefield'. Albeit tiny.

First part of that vid was hilarious!!!

Gotta love TotalHalibut.

And yeah the major section of it I believe is around 17 or 18 minutes into the Video. But this would confirm that Timber is either Gone completely or has been Relocated.

I am so glad Mazeku has him. But now I am deathly afraid of what will happen come Cata's release. As I don't have Beta.

TotalHalibut is Halarious! I like the part where he is pelted by 50 mushrooms when turning in the quest!

John makes things far more interesting and humorous. I personally enjoyed the part where he was fighting those new sludges, saying that they're melted gnomes or something to that effect. He says that he likes to melt gnomes and put them in cassaroles. Ahh too funny.

Sorry Saturo. That's just too funny.

There were white bears there too, I wonder if they're gone and the boars.

Fingers crossed Timber has just been relocated. He was my first tame on my first Hunter all those years ago, I still have him :)

As for the video its as good as always from Totalbiscuit.

Both white bears are in the eastern part of the zone. Checking the spreadsheet, Bjarn was spotted in build 12164 and Mangeclaw in build 12319.

There are also still both ivory and blue boar options available according to the spreadsheet.

As long Duskwood and Felwood won't change come Cata, the white worg should be all right, I hope.

I love the White Worgs :) They were one of the first creatures I had tamed at a low level, apart from Porkchops the boar, who was my very first pet (My he Rest in peace...)

From what I've been reading it appears that as we know it. Only the AV worgs and then Ghost Howl would be the remaining White Worgs. It appears that Lupos has been converted into a Brown Coyote and then it's speculated that the same has happened to the wolf in Felwood.

Kinda breaks my heart they did that to him. Love that wolf, and his pack, patrolling their island. :(

I am honestly very curious as to WHAT has happened to him. I DO have him tamed on my alt BE hunter Mazeku, and now I fear actually losing him all together as I am not able to get into AV yet.

Yours will be fine. Even if he's removed from the game, yours will stay the same. The only issue is for the people who have tamed pets whose appearances are changing.

I don't think Timber will disappear from Live until Cataclysm actually hits XD So with his fast respawn rate you should be VERY fine taming him on Live before it hits.

See, this was my reasoning as well. There's no sense in having the post-Cataclysm world released before the Cataclysm, right?

There wasn't that rush that I had to tame him "right this second" it was just my seeing him on my gnome rogue and I really liked him. I didn't and don't know his spawn times and since that area, on my server, is heavily populated I just pulled the trigger on getting him.
I just released my Hellfire Ramparts worg to get him.
I really like him and so far his skin and the ramparts are the only two worg skins I like. :D

Heh Believe me when I say the Low Level creatures such as Timber, Mazz, etc. spawn at ridiculously fast rates that will make you go "How is this a rare spawn?" xD

I am not a true fan of the Worgs but Timber's skin, the Ramp Worgs and Ol' Cliff Jumper were always softies in my mind. Just because of how interesting they were.
