*spoiler*Mankrik's Wife's Grave

Unread post by Arwyn »

Provided by wowcrendor is a short vid that shows Mankrik's wife Olgra's grave: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MydTa2XavoA

Another cool thing the vid shows is a quillboar being dragged around as part of some quest line evidently given by Mankrik.

But... But... His wife is named Marya! Razor Hill said so!
*Is slightly confused*

At least the guy finally got around to burying his wife. Talk about love, to just leave her corpse out there all these years... :D

I think they left it in because the community rallied around it and seemed to enjoy the original quest. I'm normally the last to agree that Blizz did anything just for us,but this is a great example of them showing kindness to the communities wishes.

~~~*Spoilers! (of you can really call them that...)*~~~
I think somewhere in beta, they added Scratchfever as a mob (or NPC, can't remember).
And as quoted from the Razor Hill forum:
It's not Larry, but it's pretty darn close!
I think Ted and Scratchfever were honored, not because of per se but only because, the author of Razor Hill was actually hired by blizz to do some writing after they read it.
Indeed!
He's written a short story for Blizzard which is currently in development. Tentative approximate release date is May.
His current work in progress is Starcraft 2 related.
Ah, finding Mankrik's wife! I remember that quest and looking for her for quite a while. :lol:
It's very nice to see they continued that story on now with Cata. I'm always pleased when they don't leave too many loose ends. I like to have an "ending" of sorts, or at least a "part two". :D
I think even having "grave" in the subject line was a spoiler for me. :p Not a big deal, but for the longest time she was just a dead body.
Ah, Mankrik's wife! I was spared quite some trouble with her, it seems. My first char in the Barrens was an inquisitive Tauren that actually discovered her on the long run from Mulgore to the Crossroads at about level 10. So the only annoying part about this quest was that I couldn't tell Mankrik right away that she was dead but had to go "find" her again. Only later I heard from others about how much of hassle this quest was for everyone else. I'm glad to see that she's finally properly buried. :)
About references to fan work, Flintlocke is now an NPC too, as seen in this video by TotalBiscuit. I really like it when Blizz does stuff like that. :D
