A stray

Unread post by Ëlfdragon »

So, this started last night. I had just went into the living room to tell my dad good night when my brother got home. Now, he didnt come right inside and go to his room like he normaly did, he didnt even come inside, so i got confused. Instead, he looked around the living room, as if he was looking for something. His eye's come to stop on our cat, Bandit. He asked me to take Bandit to his room and close the door, and I asked why. He didnt answer me and asked me to just take him to his room, so I did. After puting Bandit in my brothers room, and telling my other brother to keep him in the room, I went back to the living room.
When I got back, my brother was talking to my dad about a stray cat he found, and how he wanted to keep the cat at our house over-night so he can find him a home in the morning. Now, my dad dosnt like cat, (We only have Bandit cause he is the last thing we have from our mother[May she R.I.P]) and didnt want another cat in the house. My brother said he could put the cat in the backyard. Its at this time that the cat decided to poke its head in the door, and he was so cute. Now my dad could see him, too, and didnt like that he was a long-haired cat, so once again, he said 'No, you're not bringing that cat into this house.' After alittle pushing from my brother, my dad finaly agreed to let the cat stay in the backyard for the night.
So, I picked up the cat and held him while my brother set up a place in the backyard for him to stay, and while holding the little guy I noticed that he was mainly skin and bones. After my brother finished seting up a place and took the cat, I asked my dad if I could get him some food, and my dad said yes. So I went to the kitchen and got him some food and water, and took it to my brother who was still in the backyard. After all this, I decided its time for me to head to bed, so I did.
Now, its the next morning, and I just came inside from feeding the cat again and brushing him. And man, he wouldnt hold still long enough for me to completely brush him. And, as my other brother noted, he seems alittle too people-friendly for a stay, but if he did have an owner...It might be best for him to be here with us now.

Most strays are lost from their homes. Not all cats have good homing beacons.

Thanks for taking the kid in and hope he finds a great new home. Maybe he's micro chipped?
