OK! Now I am just asking for general advice cas well nub ftw here ;3 and ofc all about ma stable!
for a fast sum up kairii on her realm is well known for a raiding BM hunter but i have applied to a very nice raiding guild (after months of being hounded >.<) so i picked up a wolf which i have NEVER been a fan of :< and me and the wolf just dont seem to fit ... ok this guild is kinda falling apart and such but i have alot of very good friends there and tbh they probs jsut want me cas i know like 7 different ways to one fight >.> nice for tips ;D
anyways i took the Oil stained wolf and well you can see for yourself it looks wrong next to me ![]()
i really loved my old stable of
Krushie
Skoll
Jelly bear
Gondira
Loque
those are my babies
and ok gondira and the bear are teh easy ones to get so i know most will be "its ok in cata you can retame them" but thats not really my point i know these are just pixels and people might say im sad for caring but they were my pixels
so im stuck with some stupid wolf just cas some nub hunter from this guild im appling to didnt understand that i was duel MM/BM ... which kinda says yeah i will respecc since idk i have the specc? just cant really use a pet ... idk how he saw it but i know this person hates me.. why? simple i out smarted and dps him hes thinks he is pro when he knows nothing of his class or specc :/ i aint againts people like that .. like geez even i aint a pro at huntering :B but atleast i open to take ideas and listen to others ....
OMG DERAILED!
back to topic!
since the guild i applied to might not be anymore should i ditch that eye sore of a wolf (and i mean this as in i dont like wolf pets i love the model its self i got it on my BF hunter <3) and retame my baby bear ... or just stick it out and keep the wolf to use every blue moon?
i really miss my pixels
like i want to take him back but i know how hard the LK fight can be on a hunter then again i aint really played kairii for the last few months or something so for all i know it might be easy now!
i play kairii for fun .... yeah i can be pro when called for i can be a great raid leader when needed ... but kairii is just for fun a character i dont need to think or worry about to much and after reading all the Cata changes from the forum here ... i need to make sure she is in a guild she can raid in to do all those cool guild achivs with ....
so if anyone can help this bleeding hearts stable issue pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease post and i will love you forevers :3 and so will my pets ;D
also sorry if i rambled on to much just woke up xD

Re: Stable help :(
Here's my suggestion.
1. If you want to raid and do what is best for the synergy of your raid, you go MM and take a wolf. Plain and simple, it's the top dps atm.
2. If you only want to play your hunter for fun, then keep your dear bear, play the spec that is most fun and only raid the easier of the ICC bosses.
Seems like you just need to choose one of those cuz you can't have both atm. Maybe join a raiding guild with one of your toons you prefer to raid with and then just play your hunter when you do alt raids, at least they're less serious.
Personally, I'd go for number 1. I love end game raiding and in the end, killing something difficult as a team is such a rush to me. I don't like MM much, but it's the top dps spec, so that's what I have to have for a spec. As I said, in the end, killing the boss is more enjoyable than playing MM is annoying, if you get what I mean.
Good luck!

Re: Stable help :(
My suggestion is to change your post options to "left justified" from "centered" so old folks like me will have an easier time reading the post. LOL

Keep the bear. Raid only as BM. If any guild wont take you because you're BM ~ you deserve better. This game is for fun. If you lose your baby bear and you're sad about it, then that means the game isnt fun. Non fun things are not fun.
Do whats fun. Find a different guild if they rip on you being a BM. You know who else used to be ripped on? (esp in Vanilla wow) Boomkin druids, Feral druids, Retardins paladins, Elemental shamans... etc.
I'm BM and I'm never going to be anything else. I'll never purchase duel spec because there is never going to be a need to.

Re: Stable help :(
When people say MM is clearly the best they forget one simple thing: gear. MM is getting the upper hand only when you get a great hunk of armor penetration gear. So, depending on your items, there might be better choices, really.
Then again, there are lots of dynamic fights, while MM is much less flexible than BM or Surv and deals less dps.
Besides, 30% citadel buff >> dps increase from wolfie. I'd say, go for the bear and keep on raiding if that's what you really want. You're not in a progression guild for the demands to be so high (otherwise you'd have killed LK hard mode a dozen times now and would be allowed to go petless if you like
)

Re: Stable help :(
Do not get torn between your guild and your pets when it comes to raiding. If you adored your beloved bear to death, by all means, retame the ursa major. Wolves are not the answer to everything, no matter its buff, and if my sentence is not true by some, that's gonna change. I am quite sure the more considerate people in your guild that really love you for you will understand your grand concern and will likely say the same wise advice we are.
Re: Stable help :(
I won't argue; I've seen situations where equally geared people of the same skill and differents specs performed very differently depending on human and random factors. Spreadsheets are good, but it takes a player to make the most of it. And that is hard to do if you don't like what you do. As a hunters class master in our small friendly guild, I never restrict people from trying another spec or pet. "Sure, try and see how it works out for you. Just don't forget that others depend on you and try to play your choice to the full".
