The pretty blue bird was killed (and i was only afk for 5 min )by another hunter .
A week of camping with no luck

I am not sure I can look for her anymore , I just feel really bad at the moment.

I askt the hunter why he did it ?
I knew he was looking for the spirit kitty and i even wisperd to him 1 hour before that if I fond it I was gonna let him know(and i didn't ask for money) .

He told me " If I can't have my cat that why should you have that bloody bird , its not like you where gonna give me 200 g for it."
Is gold WoW players only think about these day's ?

( I logged of then, looking at body of poor Aotona was to much for me .)

Sorry to hear that hun :[. Such is the woe of blizz making some of the cooler/beautiful pets being rare/hard to find. That guy was douche and should promptly be ignored and you should contact a gm for harassing if he does so again.

Try to not get down or give up! If the bird stirs your hunter heart that much, then i def say give it another go to taming it! Best of luck

Ye gods, that hunter sounds like a complete douchebag! But hey, you know what happens to people like that, hon? Karma whips around and bites them in the @$$. It always happens on an eventual scale. By the sounds of things, he's one of those hunters who barely deserves a beautiful beast like Loque.

But I agree with Rethei - don't give up on Aotona. I was never expecting to find mine, yet, after several weeks of an exhausting search, she popped right on top of me as I was grinding for chilled meats. I did not end up keeping "Tanzanite" (only having one pet slot left is a bit of a bummer), but I wish you well on finding your gemstone of a birdy <3

We know it hurts to see the beastie you wanted so badly dead at your feet. We are a board of awesome Hunters, that love those bundles of pixels called pets! We feel your pain. T-T
Don't let asshats like that deter you. I've had moments where I've never wanted to play my Hunter again, due to such disappointment. But I always come back, and you know you can't give up just because of that jerk. Drive on, and get your bird, if only to show that one hunter that you deserve Aotona more then he deserves Loque!

Turns out I'm not the only one that he did this too.
Some other hunter is looking for the King , he killed it and told the other hunter in general chat , making fun of him :/

Well if he has done it to someone else, and even mocked him, I would definately report him. If that isn't griefing I don't know what is. People like that don't belong in game!

As said above, don't give up! Keep hunting, Aotona will show up again.

Well, griefing is... not so easily explained.

I reported an alliance a**hole once that had fun killing every NPC in Crossroads for hours.

GM told me, that wasn't griefing (all my questgivers dead in the dust), it was roleplaying, as the alliance hero took out the supply lines of the horde and keep horde players from becoming stronger.

I really thought about quitting WoW after that but decided to switch to my Lvl80 Hunter, call for a Lvl80 Shamen friend and we kicked this idiots butt so hard, so fast and so often that he surely gets sweat on his forehead when someone whispers "Crossroads" in his ears.

I did report that GM but never got any answer of that.

Such a shame to see Hunters treat each other like that. =( I'm guessing that Hunter may have had Loque'nahak killed in front of them as well.

However, since you did get her, congrats! I have her as well and she is quite beautiful.

Blizz should put rare pets in areas that have absolutely NO resource nodes spawning nearby... or ANY quests near it... so that way only hunters would hang out...

Yaay! i'm glad to hear that you got your birdy! I hope that hunter never finds Loque or any of the rares again, that is just so sad that he can't let some one else get a pet that they have been working and waiting on because he did not get his yet.

Ugh, my heart went out when I read this thread. I had a terrible time trying to tame Aotona the first time I found her. After suffering a wing buffet and being knocked into the swamp, a Tauren swooped in and murdered her before I could even whimper. I know that feeling: too sad to even be properly angry.

I disagree with you. IMO, that is all part of what makes those pets rare and even harder to tame, which is the reason I went for Loque instead of any of the other spirit beasts out there.

Whenever I run into someone like the hunter you encountered, it renews my resolve to treat other players well. We can't "teach the jerks a lesson" (though we can report them when they break the rules), but we can be a part of what makes the game fun for ourselves and others. Anyway....
