Taming speed
Along with the change to taming that means we now keep our armour... the speed of a tame seems to be around 10 seconds now (before Haste).
Mines currently at around 8 seconds per tame with the amount of haste I have from Deepholme gear...
Should make taming "awkward" beasts (i.e. The Beast, King Dred/Krush/Mosh...) that much easier?

Re: Taming speed
Yeah, I noticed that last night when I went after a cat. Taming is much easier all around now. Then again they kind of had to do that, since, you know, mob damage went anywhere from double to quadruple their old values.

Re: Taming speed
Eight second solo tame is certainly enough for the Beast! And probably most other beasties too.

Re: Taming speed
That is very exciting news. Taming will be easier for the hunter and safer for the prospective pet. And the hunter, for that matter!

Re: Taming speed
This is very very good, I hope they keep it this way... will make for frustrating/hard tames a lot easier, so less hearts will be broken (:
Rejoined the hunt after a lengthy break... feels good!

Heh, my tame was with 15.4s (iirc) cast, so 8s seems trivial!Raydex-of-the-dawn wrote:12 seconds got me my The Beast, 8 should certainly be good.

Re: Taming speed
This is awesome. Coupled with no longer losing our armor during the tame, we'll be taming fiends!

Now if only we could use Tame Beast in PvP as a temporary mc of druids...Sarayana wrote:This is awesome. Coupled with no longer losing our armor during the tame, we'll be taming fiends!

Re: Taming speed
More because of keeping armor while taming than cast time reduction, I'd say. He still hits like a falling brick wall even if you're 80! I had a number of graveyard runs while trying to get the timing right (stupid FD resists!). Or maybe I'm just badKalliope wrote:bet we'll see more pre-70 tames of him now.
