How many rare spawns have you abandoned?

-Arcturis
-Skoll
-Gondria
-Old Cliff Jumper (had him restored though)
-Nuramoc (twice!)
-Clack the Reaver
-Tan Silithid

I've also abandoned Echeyakee and Shy-Rotam, not rare spawns but unusual nonetheless.

That's all I can remember, but the list is probably longer. >.>

I don't even want to count. *Laughs* I always had a strange desire to tame the rares, even if there was a normal skin that was much easier to obtain. Like Olhm the Wise. So it's been a lot.

That would be a very long list. ^^; During my entire WoW time over various Hunter characters I've probably tamed most of the rare spawns at some time or another. I'm also the type that will specifically go for a Rare Spawn out of a model I want just because it feels better going after a specific creature rather than grabbing a random out of an area.

I suppose the major ones for me would be the 4 Spirit Beasts, all of which I've had and subsequently released after failing to feel any sort of personality to them.

So you aren't the only one who has abandoned rarespawn pets. (You only have 5 slots)
I can not wait until I get to keep 25 pets, I will be going back and finding some of my old buddies and taming them once again.

Only one i can think of is Olm the Wise, on Taigi. I saw him and just HAD to have him, because...he was THERE. So why not. But I ditched him one level later, he just wasn't my cup'o'tea.

I've never abandoned any rares on my main hunter, though. Of course, she's only ever had two rares to begin with, Skoll and Loque, and while they are still developing personalities I don't feel so unattached to them I want to get rid of them yet. XD

1x Humar the Pridelord: First rare spawn tamed and last rare spawn abandoned for the Oil-Worg... I miss him.
1x Nuramoc: Abandoned for Arcturis, plan on retaming.
1x King Mosh: Abandoned for KK, plan on retaming.
1x Soriid the Devourer: Abandoned when I found out he didn't turn into a Brain Bug.
1x Loque'nahak: Abandoned for Aotona, plan on retaming.
1x Arcturis: First spirit beast tame, abandoned for The Beast... may or may not retame.
1x Gondria: Abandoned for Skoll, plan on retaming.
1x Mazzranache: One of my first pets, abandoned for.. I don't remember. Definitely retaming.
1x Strider Clutchmother: Abandoned for.. don't remember either. Going to retame model.
3x Grub'thor: Only take pet I've ever clicked with, abandoned for Loque the final time. Will retame.

Rares I've kept:

King Krush, Aotona, Skoll & The Beast (not rare but still different) and Oil Stained Worg (still unique).

I haven't yet. Mostly because my various hunters are alts that I really didn't focus on as much this expac. I think I had one that I dropped for aotona, bit that was awhile ago and it was a sudden find. But right now I'm sitting on 4 rarest and a soulflayer from zg - not a rare or even unique skin, but stuck with me too long to drop when zg is going away and I'll have more room anyway.

Also, the mention of clicking with grubthor I can totally relate to. wasn't really hunting him when I found him on my mage. definitely stuck with me all of wrath and will probAbly last well into cata.

Since i've tamed every single rare spawn at least once, do the entire list, 5 gondrias 6 Skolls, 8 Loque'nahaks and 2 King Krush's and 4 Aotona's.
In my stables I currently have Krush,Gondria,Numeroc,Oily wolf, and for some reason it skips my mind that rare elite turtle from Azshara. Unknowne-Elune...............Hey I like to hunt rares hehe

Azzere the Skyblade (might retame)

The only rare I've released. The first pet I ever sought after was a windserpent, dunno why. Happened to see him while leveling in the barrens, first rare tame. I was excited. I used him a lot until the Ghost Saber took his place as my leveling pet. Eventually let him go indirectly for loque (released the Kurken corehound at the time, but I wanted/needed a corehound so I retamed and let him go).


Uniques (not rare but yea):

The Kurken x2 (a little hard to get as lvling horde, i got him soon as i had the exotic talent, i wanted a corehound badly and this was the one. let him go couple times for room but is retamed in my stables )

Ghost Worm x2 (let go for Krush attempts twice, that failed twice... always went back to get him just incase they make him untamable)

Ghost Saber (this was the one i miss the most, leveled all the way with it, had to let go for rares and raiding pets. will definitely retame)

My first hunter trekked all over Azeroth, trying to find a pet that fit her properly. Many rare spawns tamed, many abandoned. Eventually settled on a plain blue crab. Funny how that works.

Did eventually go back and re-tame Dishu on her; I do think they belong together.

I tamed the ghost worm first for my new worm tank. I named him Zasz, after the first Cerebrate to die in Starcraft I, but it just wasn't clicking to me. Tenacity pets should have some substance to them, IMO. So I released him and picked up a normal jormungar, named Daggoth.

The only other rare/unique I've tamed is Nuramoc (Ripley) and you'll have to pull him out of my cold, dead, Orc arms to get me to give him up!
