BM pets still hitting like a truck.

I was bored last night on the PTR and I started attacking some NPC'S in WG. I was pretty shocked to see how hard the pets are still hitting like a truck. I thought a 20k crit was crazy. I looked in my combat logg and it showed a 40k crit!

Yeah, I was exploring around on beta and they seem to have un-nerfed Kill Command, as well as fixed a lot of the bugs where certain pets weren't casting their focus dumps. Haven't seen a 40k myself, but it's pretty crazy.

I had kill command and Beastial wrath up at the same time. I could of had other procs that went off at the same time as well. Either way though..40k on an elite! I LOL when someone trys and fails to gank me in a pvp zone. The pet just lays waist to them.

I don't expect them to. Mind you that was a freak crit. The pet is doing 5k average per attack. So i'm enjoying it while I can.

No, you'd barely remove 50% of a player's health with that crit.

My druid, feral cat, only has 20k health. If something crits me for 40k, I'm kinda dead and overkilled.

And that's not wearing Cataclysm gear, is it? That's a 40K crit on BETA...where tanks have 100K health or more.

And as AdamSavage noted...that's a crit under the conditions of BM's 10-second buff.

EDIT: Okay, I misread. It's a PTR crit. Forgive me on that point. But still...the point stands. It's not exactly difficult to tell when a hunter and pet are under the effects of BW/TBW, is it?

Yah my hunter only has 30k health on ptr and that's with full ICC 10/25 man normal gear with full T10. Little to no difference with PVP gear on for health.

But that is the PTR at lvl 80 and your stats have not dropped like they will once you hit 81 and on. Plus Hunters at lvl 85 in Heroic 5 mans blues have 90k plus health and tanks have 150k plus health. Believe it or not it used to hit for more it is at 63% of RAP now it was once at 73% or so.

Yea, it's way down on Beta. I think it's a little low, but just a little. It's starting to feel good right now, EXCEPT for Kill Command, which feels a little high.

Remember too that when they raised KCs dmg they cut pets bite/claw/smack in half all of which were hitting pretty hard themselves when KC was hitting like a noodle.

Yeah, that just got reversed. *Laughs* The probably need to bump up the pet attack numbers by a wee bit, and lower KC by a wee bit. Not that I am complaining about having my high criticals off of KC back! But it's hitting a good deal harder then kill shot at the moment...

On the PTR yesterday I was caught in a pvp in Wintergrasp (?) and decided to go ahead and join. I'm a horrible pvp-er but wanted to really test the new talents on something other then normal npc mobs. Needless to say I slaughtered a lot of Horde. Alliance one the battle and I had honor kills left and right. I used kill command and BW often and didn't one time pay attention to how much they were criting for. I'll have to try it again today.

FYI - For me yesterday Skoll bugged in the Wintergrasp pvp play and I had to dismiss and call stable and get a new pet (chose my devilsaur) just to keep fighting. I have to say, and this probably doesn't belong in this thread, that it's really annoying the new system when in pvp combat like that and you're having to take time to dismiss, call and get rolling again. I actually died. Lame! I disliked dieing because my pet wouldn't work in that area. /end rant on that.

I'll check my crit today and see what mine are hitting for. I am NOT in ICC 10/25 gear.

Yes, let's shout from the rooftops that BM pets are still doing 40k crits, and need further nerfing, when it's already been changed. That's the point.
