Finishing up my current list of pets....
OK well I have the following pets....
Bear spirit beast
White lion
King Krush
Northrend Worg (gray/white)
White/Gray Core Hound
I'm thinking about getting rid of the white lion and picking up a tanking pet. Problem is, I want something rare and hard to get that not many people use. Something that would kinda fit with the rest of the pets. And plus I'm getting rid of the wolf once 4.0.1 comes so yea.... might prolly get rid of him.

Re: Finishing up my current list of pets....
My recommendation would be to look at some pets you never thought of before.
Honestly, the rarest-seen creatures are often the ones thought of as 'most common'. Take something like the regular Lioness model. I could count on one hand the number of times I've seen a hunter with one.
Rares are actually some of the most common, so I think it's nice sometimes to go back and find a regular ole pet somewhere that truly will be unique because no one pays attention to those anymore. ^^

Ok, thanks Vephriel that helps ^^ I'll see what I find and see if I just might have a new tanking pet for my ZG grind.
Re: Finishing up my current list of pets....
I agree with Veph. For example, if I see anyone using an old world worm skin it's always the yellow one and both of those mobs are rare spawns. I have yet to see anyone in game use any other old world worm skin other than the yellow, which is sad because I love the white skin and will be getting one of those next patch as they are just beautiful.
Also, try these two pages (( http://armorydatamining.appspot.com/hpe ... HunterPets and http://armorydatamining.appspot.com/hpe ... erPetSkins)) to find out what are the truly "rare" pets to see on level 80 hunters.

A rare visitor to this forum now that I don't play WoW anymore, but forever a Petopian.

I gree as well i always try and go for rare and unusual look for my pets rather that rare pets, its why i have pets like a Gold Silithid, one of the pink/purple Dragonhawks or a green Nether ray and i have never in my who WoW life tamed a wolf

Re: Finishing up my current list of pets....
Agree with what everyone else says. In any given night I will see at least one tamed Loque, Skoll, Gondria, Arcturis. I will see several Humars, Echeys, and other rare spawns that are what I call belly button pets. Why? Because everyone's got one.
I've seen Araga (lioness skin) once and it wasn't even from a hunter on my server.
I can count on one hand how many of the outlands raptors are being used. I've only seen one used twice.
I see wind serpents being used VERY rarely.
Tallstriders same thing in fact the only time I'd see them was when calling my own pet.
Hyenas are another extremely rarely used pet.
So just because it's counted as a rare by WoW standards doesn't mean it's really a rare in game play. So go on a taming spree and try the true rares.

Just fyi, you don't need a Tenacity pet for ZG. I do it regularly (full clear) with various Ferocity pets. The only place it tends to get sticky is on Mandokir, but it's doable, though you might wipe a couple times. For Attuman in Kara, though, I need Tenacity.
If you want the best Tenacity pets out there, get a Warpie or a Turtle (best imo) for single-target focus, or a Bear for multiples, imo (or croc if you prefer). Carrion Birds also work quite well, actually, despite being Ferocity--the AP reduction (Demo Shout basically) works wonders on lower-level content.
If you like the pets you have, use 'em! If you dislike the wolf, why not ditch him now? Devilsaurs are on par with wolves for PvE anyway. If you're gonna ditch the lion and you want an uncommon tank pet, though, I think these are the rarest (on my realm, at least):
* Diseased Black Bear
* Any Old-World Worm (Grubthor especially, but the white ones too!)
* Oddly-colored Scorpids
* "Dark Grey" or Reddish Gorilla
* Undead, Yellow, Red-Brown or Armored Boars
Good luck!
