Female worgen edit
Due to computer problems, I am unable to play Wow right now so i managed to stumble upon this thread http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 1&pageNo=1
Because of extreme boredom, i decide to see what the female worgen would look like if they fixed the one thing that still creeps me out, the eyes.
For a comparison,

and also, just to see what they would looked like without the snarl

I love it!!!! Man, I hope smaller, less "doe-y" eyes will be an option with one of the faces.

Re: Female worgen edit
Not a fan of the beady eyes but I like the no-snarl. :3
Re: Female worgen edit
The noses still bother me greatly, as does the ears :/
Your edits are a nice step in a good direction. I do believe the eyes are exceedingly too big, and really should be more like the original alpha models like you edited.
It is a shame they just don't give us the male models sleeked down.
The problems for the female worgen, in general, seem to stem from the fact they're using pre-existing bases and trying to take short cuts. What I mean is that they're using the Draenei female for a base form and just building off of it --- This is why the ear positions are so .. awkward on the head. Why the head is so 'humanized' and dished, and eyes so large.
They're also doing something screwy with the nose. Why turned up pig nose? :<
I saw an animation of it from game files and it wiggles like a pig nose. :/
Another issue (at least this is my opinion and folks will disagree) that the bodies are messed up since they're building off a draenei form still. The breasts are sitting on the collarbone / too high, and the neck is really too short. Legs are too long since they're trying to keep it the same length as the draenei -- not realizing without the hooves, it gives a broken leg look.
But anyway. Good start on the edits!
I'm done rambling.

Re: Female worgen edit
This reminds me... I saw a video of the character creation screen, and I could swear it showed them cycling through different ears! Can someone on beta confirm whether that's the case?Phyra wrote:The noses still bother me greatly, as does the ears :/
They really still are, aren't they? I have no big issue with the size (though the other thread on the newest models had a hilarious side-discussion about big knockers in combatPhyra wrote:The breasts are sitting on the collarbone / too high

Re: Female worgen edit
There are currently 12 styles of ears for the female Worgen, but to be honest...none of them are too great. The majority of them don't really show up from a direct frontal view, and many of them have odd angles and shapes that don't seem wolfish at all. The mane also clips almost all of them currently (I'm assuming they'll fix this).
I took some screenies to show them. Unfortunately they aren't the best to see with as I can only get it on the creation screen and not zoomed in. Anyways, here's a front and side view of all of them (somewhat large image):

Thanks Veph! I do see what you're saying about them clipping, but I like several of them. Sure, not particularly "realistic," but then again, we're talking about creating a werewolf character!

I actually like the big eyes <3 And I sort of like the snarl, though I'd like a no-snarl face too. Varali will be using the forth set of ears, certainly.

Re: Female worgen edit
oh I love that second set of ears! With one up and the other kinda lopsided. Absolutely love them. Makes her look kinda crazy and cute at the same time. I'd prefer a few more styles that look more wolfy though.

Special thanks to Ket-shi!

Re: Female worgen edit
the thing that bothers me the most about them is their forehead. if you look at it from the side it's a dome like shape, which is a domestic, not wolf.

Yeah i see what you mean about the dome head. Although they fixed it quite a bit, it still exists.Hilula wrote:the thing that bothers me the most about them is their forehead. if you look at it from the side it's a dome like shape, which is a domestic, not wolf.
Is this alittle bit better?( i modified a bit more for fun)

That modified skull shape looks like an amazing improvement over the original. Nice work!

Re: Female worgen edit
Very nice work there Azure, big improvement. We can only hope the final result looks somewhat like this
My only complaint is that the nose is still turned up a little at the end, and the eyes look a little small to me. But that's just me nitpicking.
I'm not too worried about having a little of a domed head. Techically you'd need a the skull to be a bit bigger than your average wolf to hold the bigger human brain. But the current look on beta is way too much. Yours looks just about right.

Re: Female worgen edit
Your eye edit makes a world of difference. The original worgen eyes look they have pink eye. Or maybe they stayed out all night drinking? NO! They must have allergies! That's it, a bunch of sniffly nosed worgen running around...
The snarl doesn't look out of place though.
