Spirit Beast's Spirit Mend bugged?

Is Spirit Beast's healing ability Spirit Mend bugged? I personally don't see it going off, on auto-cast, on other players other than it and myself, in battlegrounds. I haven't been able to test it out in guild raids yet though. It's supposed to be a "smart" heal! Thank you!

Trying turning on the option in your game settings to show when your being healed. The heals will show up like +2450 as a heads up display as an example.

Yeah I think I do have healing up on my display. And like I originally said, not on me, on others. :--P

hmm.. You test it out on a friend perhaps ? Get them to lower there health while grouped up and see if the pet will heal them if you target your friend.

I'm definitely gonna report this valuable healing bug. It should auto-cast! >.<

Yeah, I have to cast it myself, even on auto-cast. =s Medea (Loque'nahak) is the only one of my SBs that I've tried it on, however she won't heal herself unless I manually click on her and then click 'Spirit Mend'. Should it be proccing once the SB is under a certain amount of health? Either way, she was almost close to death and nothing happened.

Hmmmm on other message boards that I asked, Spirit Beast's Spirit Mend healing is going off automatically on other players in parties and/or raids.

Although I haven't had a chance to EXTENSIVELY test it, what I found was that it easily will autocast on me or the pet (assuming it is off cd), but not party members. I'd prefer it this way, really. I don't find it too hard to have it keybound anyway, though, as a heal--target player, hit keybind, they're healed

From the experience that I have had, mainly in pvp, spirit mend is the shiz~!

Things that I have knoticed are:

* I have had it crit for 4500k on the 1st heal.

* When set to autocast it will normally cast when your health get rather low health. For pvp it would be nice if it did it a little earlier as by the time your health hits 20%, your in hot water.

* I'm not 100% sure if cast on others around you whom also drop low enough, but I'm sure it did, I'll check later.

* It has saved my backside A LOT of times

* I have and it's easy to set up a macro that one can push that makes it cast on yourself if I think I need it at another time (eg. after a skirmish and you dont have time to sit and eat)

* I <3 useing it on other people after a skirmish and they are like " WTH was that !!! did you just heal me "

Kk Spirit. I'm glad you're gonna check to see if it does auto-cast on other players. Others have said that it does. And that is funny about Beast Mastery Hunters being able to heal now! XD

Spirit Mend is not an auto castable ability you have to manually use it. At least this is how it seems to be on live, it doesn't have the option to turn on and off like other auto abilities like prowl or growl.

You can do a macro for it

/target zaphoed
/cast Spirit mend

This will target me and then put up the HOT. You can do other for tanks or even the pet itself just have to have its name in the /target of the macro.

Spirit Mend is not an auto castable ability you have to manually use it.

Untrue, actually; it's a togglable ability and the pet WILL use it on itself or you, at the very least--I can't confirm on other targets.

I use a macro to target me, cast it, and target last target; I have a second macro to heal my focus.

Today, during a Black Temple run, the group was running to Illidan--and Chaos (my Loque) ran off ahead of me. I was like wtf is he doing? He ran happily along to the front of the group, went up to the tank, healed him & came back. Tank was near full HP, so I can only assume that the pet was trying to catch up to him to heal him from when he was taking damage. I can't say 100%, though, because I may well have misclicked (well, mis-pressed) my macro earlier. The "WTF IS HE DOING?!" was still funny though

It auto-casts for me. I made a macro to self heal myself while raid testing Sunday, and would notice it wasnt always available because the heal was on cooldown. I'm curious if my pet may have been healing others, or just me, or just himself.

Should be a left-click for heal player, right-click for heal pet. (not tested)

Damnit, I neeeeeed to get me a spirit beast.
Arcturis would be my favourite, but is also I suspect the shortest lived once spawned

I just used:

/target ZigZug (me)
/cast Spirit Mend
/targetlasttarget

It's the same basic macro I used on LK when I had to tranq the big ghouls, just swap the target and the casted spell. The switch between targets was so fast it didnt interrupt my fire at all.
