Those silly mounts won't drop for my two characters either (which is making me upset and almost making me wish Cataclysm got delayed). I was thinking about getting that really cool mask, but got kind of lazy, since I've already got a bank full of fun/pretty gear I never ever wear. I will keep killing the hydra boss though, since that polymorph tome could sell for a nice amount of money.
I also kill all the raptors there for a pet, but I don't even hope it'll drop in time left before Cata, since that pet's drop rate is even lower than that of mounts, if wowhead is right.

really should have bought the hatchling for 200g back then...now it's never on AH :(

zul'gurub should stay in some way. starts thinking over caverns of time...but we can't ask CoT for everything like we "on the EU forums" wanted it for the old naxxramas and the old Onyxia raid. still the mounts have to stay available on any way

The lock out period is 3 days, not 7 days as most raid dungeons.
However, if you want the pet and don't care about killing bosses and getting their loot, you can kill the trash there as much as you want. I believe all you have to do is go in, clear all the raptors, go out, reset it and go in again. Repeat untill it makes you sick.
Even if you kill the bosses, trash will respawn after some time, so you still can come back later before it is reset and kill raptors again, only this way you won't be able to reset it manually, and will have to wait for automatic respawn. How long it takes, I don't know.

I tried that the other week, but it didn't work to just manually reset it. You have to zone out and wait the half hour (?) for the soft reset to kick in. The way to tell whether it has reset or not is whether you're getting the "Your callous disregard for the sovereignty of the Gurubashi Empire..." message when you take a few steps in. If you don't get it, it hasn't reset yet.

Ah, ok, I was wrong then. Sorry about that.

The pet, however, dropped for me last night, so I won't be waving this instance "good-bye" empty handed. :)

Been running ZG on my Main for well over a 2 years now, I was lucky enough to get the raptor mount about 3rd time through, but have never seen the tiger drop.

I would swap a 1000 raptors for the tiger mount lol
