EDIT* INCOMING ROYI

Unread post by Royi »

**EDIT**

WATCH OUT!!! UNDER 4 DAYS TILL ROYI'S HUNTER BRINGS TO END THE REIGN OF "THE RYNO"

Just random questions, I'm possibly going to move my hunter to Nessingway for Cata (I love this community)

Is there a lot of non hunters in the guild? Or perhaps a lot of alts of petopians that aren't hunters themselves?

For some reason I think in my head '23 guild members on, 22 of which are hunters'

In Vanilla I was in a All-Rogue guild for a while that was actually pretty big with 70 or 80 members. Then people realized that at lvl 60 you really couldnt do any dungeons or raids with only rogues. We let druids in because of the fact that they could 'stealth' too... but I don't think it lasted too long until we broke up.. I don't recall too much since it was 4 years ago.

I know i really should just make a DK alt or something and chit-chat in game, but i always seem to forget to do that when i'm at home, and i only remember things while at work. The safaris that are held and crazy antics i see posted in forums seem fun.

there are people in the guild who have non-hunter mains, or hunter is their main but they have other classes in the guild as well! I know we have ketcha who is a priest, ryno is on his Druid, Bella on her Pally, Kalli has her shaman. I have multi class toons at 80 in the guild as well. Its not a " hunter only guild" it is alot of fun, but we dont do any hard core raiding.. We do like old school vanilla wow raids and even some BC ones :) Im glad i moved all my 80s into the guild. ( pally,dk,druid, mage, hunter) if you are unsure just make a DK, ask someone in the guild if anyone is on who can iv. and check it out :) it is alot of fun!

Sounds about right. ;)

Everyone has tons of other alts though, it's not like being a hunter's a requirement. Just that most of people's mains are hunters there.

Yeah there's no real requirements at all for the guild other than an account here. Mostly what brings us together is a love of all things pets! And a good, solid, casual, friendly group of people to hang out with. You can play whatever toon you like, as long as you're having fun.

Also I'll point out it's a great place to try new classes too, because so many of our guildies have been around so long and know a ton about all the major game points. I'd tried to level a mage many, many times but never got one past 25. After rolling one on a whim on Nesingwary, I got a LOT of helpful tips and input from guildies that let me play better, plus there was always somebody willing to come out to whatever zone I was in at the time and help me with things a mage has trouble soloing. Now my mage is in Northrend :)

So yeah, not just hunters. Just bring a love of pets :)

Grats on getting your mage up high vel.

I'm not into hardcore Wow, those raids often annoy me with the elitist attitudes they often tend to bring. I do someday want to kill the LK, but I'm happy to wait till lvl 85 to do so :) I love the old school raids myself.

Just the thought of a large group of hunters all looking for rare pets together is almost comparable to getting ready to go to Chuck'E'Cheese when I was 8 :-P

I recently transferred my high level Hordies to Nesingwary just to be with the Petopians guild. I love pulling out my Druid if anyone needs a healer, and my Warlock feels very welcome as she's a pet-class too. ^_~

However, from what I've experienced, you're more than welcome to join as a non-hunter.

Sometimes, especially on off-peak times, I will see "16 members on; 13 Hunters" thing going on. These people have come together from the love of pets and the Hunter class, and almost all of them are going to have a Hunter alt or main (or many hunter alts). There is almost always a volunteer if someone needs a healer for something, and sometimes a tank too.

The thing is, the community is amazingly fun. Even if we don't get together in-game, we're chatting away in guild constantly. I've found a lot of RP / stories ongoing as well, which was a very wonderful surprise for me, as I love background stories and lore. Many of our pets take on their own personalities and we love to share our experiences we have in WoW.

I love being in < Petopians > because I do not ever feel like I'm playing alone!!

Yay I got mentioned... and yes. I transferred my Paladin over with my cache of BoAs and goodies so I could make my hunter and all my future alts on Nesingwary with these awesome people.

you know, I'd love to make a Priest to act as a healer.
I was wondering if someone in the Petopians guild might mind being a bit of a mentor to me?

I have a level 71 S.Priest on The Scryers, but that's not really a "healing" class. And I'm too scared to jump into dungeons with that toon at that level without actually KNOWING anything about healing for a group.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:
"Step on no pets!"
Casual player.. don't raid, don't PvP. Suffer from extreme altitis
I love pets - combat or non.

I'm from Emerald Dream and have been searching and searching for a guild that had a social atmosphere and actually TALKS to no avail, the more I read on here the more I want to consider transfering to Nessingwary! My only 80 is a hunter and it would be great having people to play with for once : ).

I don't even have an alt if that will.../facepalm. Umm, well, I am tempted someday to try a shaman.

Aside from a lie I nearly slipped, I only have one hunter in two other realms each, so they are a main all to themselves there.

If I was around for guild events more, I'd totally roll a tanking toon too, just for the option.

Feelin' a mite less useful now that THE ENTIRE FREAKING GUILD can bring bloodlust...

The guild is pretty awesome. being a hunter isnt a requirement and yes we do have alot of non hunters who are played, but alot of us like to play hunters, just like as it was said because since we all came together because of these forums, pets is what we like the most, but still we do have a few other classes. Not like at 8 o clock at night theres.. 15 people on and 12 of them hunters, but thats whats so entertaining.

The best part of the guild, is probably our events that we do, and you will always find atleast someone who wouldnt mind joining you for a BG or dungeon ^.^

Oh.. and the epic rare camps.. sholazar, grizzly hills, alterac mountains, hinterlands.. everywhere has been scarred by petopians late night chat

I think if you want to see what its like, roll a char on the server and come see for yourself :) any class you like is more then welcome ^.^

Oh and Nev.. as long as I am on.. gchat is never quiet as is most of the time when others are on

The guild has more than just hunters, and a fun group to be with. I just love being with the casual group that we have. Chat is alway going and various groups are doing different things. BG's, dungeons, rare hunts and parties.... lots of parties. I just love getting on after a bad day at work and being cheered up by the antics of the group. come and join us.
