Higher level pets

I just noticed all the stuff with the beast... being a boss mob hes way over our level. Which brings me to my point. Can we tame beasts higher than our level in cata now or is the beast just special?

odd though i almost wish they'd make it so you could tame higher level pets
odd and the bosses in AQ again way over our level but they are tameable

I don't think "boss" is as much a super-high level as a way of masking the true level. His practical level is probably well within taming range,

Yeah - boss tag means the mob will hit and defend at your level +2 iirc... can't remember TB's actual for certain level but I seem to recall it was 62?

Is the dungeon level going to be changing in cata?

I thought it was 63?

If I remember right they're doing it adaptively now.

Level ??Boss = Your level +3. His ACTUAL level, however, depends on when the raid is from. Vanilla content means 61-63, TBC 73 and WOTLK 83.

And in the case of the Beast, he won't be a raid boss in Cata (qq); he'll be made level 60.
