15: Samurai pizza cats


This goes way back in my childhood and well I love cats and pizza and the theme song! My god that’s epic.


14: Chrono crusade



Now this was my first non dubed anime I really got into and heck I liked it so much it all so was my first true manga I read as well XD Seeing as I had only read the warcraft ones up till then,


13: Pokemon/Digimon




Now these share this spot as well I grew up watching both and love them as much as the other so I can’t split them up!. Now theses are the first seasons/shows of both as the started to suck after that.


12: Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt



Now this is the newest show on the list I only just started to watch it but I’m hooked!
I mean Panty’s panty’s turn into a gun for petes sake! How awesome is that? Its like a mix between Samurai jack, Invader zim and powerpuff girls its crazy fun times!. Oh and its not a kids show XD

11: Ghost in the shell movie/stand alone complex



Now these two share the same spot as I love them both.. They are both made by the same studio and well are just awesome. Yes I know the movie has WAY better animation but WELL DUH IT’S A MOVIE!. All so the main character Motoko Kusanagi Is frickin badass!. The movie was allso the first non pokemon anime movie I ever saw.

10: Robot chicken



This show is just funny as all hell and It’s wonderful to see a stop motion show on tv nowadays you don’t see many of them and its sad. Anyway I find the humour to be of my liking and well I just love it XD I got my copy of the 3rd season signed by the makes of it last year at Armageddon.


9: Metalocalypse



Now I’m a huge bogan and well a show about a metal band was just to much to pass so I started watching it and fell in love with it! I love Dethklok and I can look past the bad animation as the rest of the show is so well made!


8: Samurai jack



This show is well animated and the style is very cool. I like the stories and how some don’t even have any talking in them! Oh and that scotish guy! Has a awesome theme as well!


7: Venture bros



I love this so. Brock is so cool and the style of the show is cool and a real through back to the old school shows. I mean Dr girl friend is so funny XD GO TEAM VENTURE!


6: Adventure time!



This show looked like its so fun to animate! I mean I have seen the model sheets and theres director notes saying you can animate it how ever you like but it has to stay true to their personalites. So this is why in one scene Finn would be animated Old school rubber hose style the next he would have elbows! I’d so love to be a animator in a show like this and hopefully one day I will be.


5:Sponge bob square pants



Its just awesome! I like the humour and animation. Oh and those close ups!


4: The magic school bus!



This so makes learning fun! I mean I loved the books and fell in love with the show! I’m guttered that I miss it when its on as I am useally at animation school XD. I think this show is a good learning tool for kids as is makes things fun!


3: Transformers G1 / beast wars




Again another tie but I love them so much! Beast wars was my first robot show I got into and well it mixed both robots and animals what else can I say I love both? I don’t care if its animation is not that good the first Transformers show is was too cool to think about that! MEGATRON RULES! Yes!


2: Fireman sam / Postman pat / Pingu





I love these shows I grew up on them and well I was very sad when they remade them and made them all PC and stuff L was not the same! If I ever have kids I’d show them the ones I grew up on and not the shitty new ones! I was going to put Thomas the tank engine on here aswell but its not really animation but its still a very good show!

1: Batman: the animated series



Oh come on how could I not put this here? Its wonderfully made and acted. The stories are well made and action is very good and its very dark for a kids show! I mean the guns shoot bullets you would never see that in a show now! I loved Kevin conroy as batman and I do think Mark hamil is the best joker ever! No heath ledger for me! Bruce timm is my idol and I love all his work.

Oh boy, cartoons! There's not many newer animations that I'm crazy about but I like some of the older/ish stuff. Many I haven't seen in years but still love.
In fact, quite a few of them I'll mention to people and have them go "never heard of that" or "you mean that new movie?" (<-transformers).

Well this is a complicated question to answer. Okay, I'll give it a shot ...

No specific order here, just as I remember them.

First of all, a big nod to what some other folks have said. Gargoyles, Transformers, Batman: TAS. Classic stuff that defined me as a kid. I guess I should also include the classic Ninja Turtles in that list.

As soon as I mention it, everyone seems to go "Oh yeah, THAT show! I remember that!"

As for anime, I'm mainly into mecha. I like the Universal Century side of the Gundam franchise, but I don't really like the alternate universe shows like Wing, Seed and 00. Evangelion is another big one; it really stands on its own, as nothing else like it really exists. The new movies that are in the process of being released now have been really good so far and I'm looking forward to them continuing. Gurren Lagann is also a really great title -- I just recently watched the TV series and was blown away. I'm looking for the movies now but I think they may be purchasable online only.

I could really just go down the list of stuff I own now; I really haven't been disappointed in recent memory by any of the mecha anime I've bought.

Love Hina.
It's absolutely adorable! One huge hot springs episode, too. I love it! <3


Nightmare Before Christmas.
I absolutely refuse to believe that there exists anyone who doesn't love this movie to DEATH! heh heh.


Ratatouille.
There is no way I wouldn't love this movie. It's about a cook! ...who is a rat, yes, but a cook! And also about tolerance and being true to yourself... Yeah. And cooking.


Those Who Hunt Elves.
Bunch of guys and a tank (yup) from our own Earth ended up in a high fantasy world. Elves tried to get them home, spell got interrupted, pieces of spell hid themselves on the bodies of elves in the realms. Hilarity ensues. It's awesome.


How To Train Your Dragon.
It's so wonderful. Seriously, I could watch it every day and it wouldn't be boring. And I hear the books are even better! I need to start reading them asap.


Oruchuban Ebichu.
DO NOT SHOW THIS TO YOUR KIDS!
It's hilarious. But R-rated, at least.
It's about Ebichu, the Housekeeping Hamster. She has a master who is an abusive, lovesick secretary, with a boyfriend who is cheating on her constantly. The show mostly focuses on how weird and confusing humans are with their crazy sexual behaviours, strange relationships and stuff like that. But, of course, Ebichu is a hamster, so she tends to do stupid things too, and gets in trouble for that...


Record of Lodoss War.
Classic High Fantasy awesomeness. A must-see to anyone into such things. And the music! OMG the music!


Great Teacher Onizuka.
It's funny. That guy is CRAZY! And it's really cute, too. And SO full of hope.
Live action version is even better, I think.

Full Metal Panic!
Not Alchemist. PANIC! It's fine, usually. Cute tsundere girl, pro guy, highschool love story AND MECHA! Except that season two was called Fumoffu! and was one of the best things I've ever seen.
