Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
Just tamed the Emerald Spirit, and while it is fine when it is moving, when it stops moving it collapses in a heap on the ground, as if dead.
Edit - Strange, after hearthing back to IF, it got better.. I'll have to go back out there and see if it acts up again.

Worm pet special attack now drops agro making the pet about useless.
Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
That's working as intended. It's now a raid AOE pet. Not a soloing pet.Hailic wrote:Worm pet special attack now drops agro making the pet about useless.

So lame, imo. Now we have no solo tank pets with AoE capabilities. Tenacity pets are supposed to be tank pets and Blizzard keeps taking that more and more away. At least, that's how I feel about it.Slickrock wrote:That's working as intended. It's now a raid AOE pet. Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
Source post for this please? As otherwise it is a bug- why? Because Worm having +4dmg acid spit =/= raid pet. There's Ravagers; and even with the AoE, the worm is situational. I mean sure it's the cats meow for wrath dungeons, but remember they're changing how AoE works come cata dungeons.Slickrock wrote:That's working as intended. It's now a raid AOE pet. My worm feigns death? Sweet! xD Hope they fix that, though.
I jsut tamed the silithid Colossus in Un'goro, and he's bugged out and doesn't move. Dismissign and calling doesn't do anything, and putting him in the stables does nothing either. He doesn't even have a model in the stables. He also doesn't attack, but at least he keeps fortitude up.

That sounds like the perfect buff bot to me. ;) At least he doesn't get killed due to grabbing aggro.Kirrandria wrote:My worm feigns death? Sweet! xD Hope they fix that, though.

.... *Dies* Well.. There goes solo'ing Anzu. Thanks Blizz, you just totally and utterly killed the utility of my wonderful golden worm. Seriously, THANK YOU. /SARCASM.
*Edit* Forgot to add.. Cunning pets seem to be broken for me for some reason.. I tamed both of the pretty Serpents in Thousand Needles, and they can't get Mobility because it 'requires Dive'. I even tried stabling one of them and taking it back out.. Both the two of them and the Sunburst Adder have this problem. I haven't checked my Deviate Adder yet though.. (I've had him since long before this patch, so I'm not sure if he'll be affected by the glitch too.. I'll have to go check later. Also, the Birds of Prey that I tamed seem to have no problem whatsoever, so it seems like either a Serpent glitch or one for all non-flying Cunning pets.)

I haven't tried it, but if it's "only" a FD and still does damage, just stand on your worm when the birds come.
That said--are we sure this isn't a Jormungar-only bug? I'll test it shortly myself, I intend to get a black Jormungar again but I've got Grubthor already.
Edit: Yeah, my Grubthor--Edit, and Jormungar--still do damage, although Burrow suddenly puts the mob on Evade. I hope they fix this soon; this was my solo pet, and it's quite irritating.

The stabled Ravager i had pre-shattering is also experiencing this. Havent tested any other cunning pets though.Senna-Umbreon wrote:.... *Dies* Well.. There goes solo'ing Anzu. Thanks Blizz, you just totally and utterly killed the utility of my wonderful golden worm. Seriously, THANK YOU. /SARCASM.

I solo pretty well with a turtle or a beetle, but it seems odd to turn a tenacity pet into a raid DPS pet. O_o

... Mah wormy D:
It's not exactly a broken pet, but pet related: My Misdirection sometimes refuses to be put on my pet, I'll have the pet targeted and hit MD and nothing happens. No error, no voice telling me something isn't working, no using the ability. It'll give me the "pick a target" hand glowy pointer sometimes, but it doesn't light up over my pet and it continues to act as if the thing isn't activated (no errors, no "clicking out" of the glowing hand icon, etc)

The Gorishi Fledgling does not do anything once tamed - will not move or attack. It will use its web attack, but that's it.

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
Not my worm! /hugs Daggoth.
Does Increased Growl, Taunt,Thunderstomp and Intimidation at least make up for the drop in aggro Burrow now produces? Then again, I soloed Chillmaw *before* Burrow was added -- I wanted to see how an exotic Tenacity pet would do, and he did quite well. After I give Daggoth his "makeover", I'll go test him out in Skettis Halls, see how he really does.
I expected the Nerf Bat to strike our worms sometime, but not this soon!

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
In re: the worm aggro drop, that's not restricted to worms - sometimes your pet fails to add mobs to its threat list, even though they've been hitting it, and even though the pet is on defensive - you will burn down one mob, and then instead of automatically switching to the next mob in melee, your pet will then run back to you as if there is nothing else left to fight - with the remaining mobs following it back to you, and still hitting it... and obviously, since your pet is no longer attacking them or using growl, they will switch to you in short order.
That being said, I've found as long as you have the misdirection glyph and use careful timing, it's still possible to keep the mobs where you want them, although there will be the occasional flub no matter how tight your timing is - acceptable for the short term but a fix is definitely needed soon.

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
My ant-ithid (the silithid swarmer) has the same problem. Haven't checked any of my non-flying Cunning pets that were already talented pre-Shattering.Senna-Umbreon wrote:.... *Dies* Well.. EDIT: Speaking of ant-ithids, there are a few bugs that can fool, well, a fool (I refer to myself). If you try to summon your ant when you don't have the 31-point BM talent in your active spec, you will not get an error message telling you that you cannot control exotic creatures. Instead, your ant will appear when summoned, then despawn after a few seconds.
Another issue is being experienced by those who tamed the silithid swarmer and didn't bother to rename it. Oddly enough, the game considers you as having named your pet 'Scorpid', and thus doesn't offer you the 'Rename Pet' option. A Certificate of Ownership will fix this problem, if you're willing to spend some gold.
So far, the above bugs I can confirm myself. But, an issue I have not experienced but seen reports of on this forum that people who spent points in the Tenacity talent tree of this pet when it was a scorpid are now having a hard time spending points in the Cunning talent tree of their pet. Visiting a pet trainer is a reliable workaround, apparently.

Not that the pet itself is broken, but the undead eagle model doesn't show up in my stables on the new site, leading me to believe we weren't supposed to tame them. >_>

Re: Broken pets.. report em all here (and a new report)
One thing I've notices being odd is that for some reason I'm not getting my Spirit bond on some of the new pets. In particular, the Monkey and the Demon Hounds turned Doggies have not been giving this buff with the rest of us. Beetles (Or at least, the Black Scarab Beetle I tamed from ZF) has the buff fine though.
