Silithids
If you think camping for one of the new silithids in tanaris is bad and want one in AQ, don't do it the 3 in AQ are togeter and have a heal stun and fear to use and will get very annoying tame innterupting aggro control and health is just to much for one pet
Re: Silithids
I think Wain even said at lv 85 don't try and dps them down, just go and tame one directly. Unless you mean the beetles, Yauj? Summons, but those aren't silithids. The Boss Silithids should be tameable tho if you're quick enough tho.12gunner wrote:If you think camping for one of the new silithids in tanaris is bad and want one in AQ, don't do it the 3 in AQ are togeter and have a heal stun and fear to use and will get very annoying tame innterupting aggro control and health is just to much for one pet

Re: Silithids
You can get the one in AQ20 solo, if you don't mind a purple/red one, fairly easily!
I got there easily by bypassing pats/feigning, using a worm to kill a couple that were really in the way (make sure you pull them WELL back).
The dude past Kurinaxx (you can skip his room around the right, outside his aggro range) is a big red/purple brain bug, in a room filled with eggs--Buru I think? If you start taming at max range it's easy.
The ones in Temple, though--I doubt you can get to them solo without bugging the bosses, although I hear that's doable too >.<

Re: Silithids
AQ10 :p And yeah, down the first boss- bring a ferocity pet for the healing glitch! make your way past the mobs, FD past the guard trash and there's Buru, and you don't have to do max range. With 10 sec cast time +100% armor, Buru was mine with little fuss.Acherontia wrote:You can get the one in AQ20 solo, if you don't mind a purple/red one, fairly easily!

Re: Silithids
2 questions. Can you glitch past the first boss or is there a gate that needs to be opened? And I want the blue one from the 3 bugs is there any good strategy for taming him or just get to max range and hope for the best?Acherontia wrote:You can get the one in AQ20 solo, if you don't mind a purple/red one, fairly easily!

Re: Silithids
Oh yeah, 10 now! I just did it from max range to be safe; he moves so slowly that he didn't even hit me like that
But yeah--you can run around the first boss's room and never touch him. I went around to the right (counter-clockwise).
If you're after the blue one, I haven't done it myself.

Re: Silithids
It is doable alone, but it's all about luck. I was able to tame Vem before I was killed, bunted, feared or knocked down. However, this took many many deaths only to realize I didn't like the pink model. The best, and much easier way to do this is to make friends with a paladin who happens to be a tank. Using my brother (the tank!) I was able to tame both Princess Yauj and Lord Kri in the same go, with no deaths. Have whoever is with you pull aggro on Vem and Lord Kri, distracting shot Yauj and let the trial and error taming begin! She's the one who fears and heals, so you'll want to remove her first. After you've got her, if you want Lord Kri it'll be tricky. You can try to tame him through bunts but he usually will lose interest in you after abit, even with a trap. What I ended up doing was killing Vem, enraging Kri and pulled aggro off my brother, started to tame, had the pally bubble after a few ticks and heal me up because when enraged he will kill you very very quickly. After all that work though, I feel I earned the right to have a raid boss
Also, I noticed Yauj has a weird bug. She'll randomly make a death thud sound, without dying or doing the animation. Anyways, good luck and enjoy!

Re: Silithids
The bug trio was fairly easy if you approached it right. I went for Kri since he was the only Orange skin for his model type and not shared with any common world spawns.
After clearing the room you basically just have Yauj and Kri standing still next to one another while Vem pats back and forth in front of them. I waited til Vem was as far away from Kri as possible and, while mounted, I ran in towards Kri stopping and feigning just inside taming range. As a note, in order to get extra time to tame I also made sure to position myself where Kri was between me and Yauj. This meant more running time for Yauj once my tame began. Once Vem was at his farthest point away from me I started taming Kri. In my Naxx 10/25 gear I have 22.5k health and I finished the tame with at least 40%.
Once the tame was over I attacked Yauj and Vem with my new Kri to get aggro off me, ran away, dismissed pet, feigned and hearthed. Easy peasy.

Same here I went to the right most corner (near kri) and stand at max range wait till vem moves away run in and hit tameRienen wrote:The bug trio was fairly easy if you approached it right. After the tame completed the remaining ones automatically attacked my pet I ran towards the entrance dismissed pet and FD
and they resetted and kri spawned back

My Harakiss does the same thing, haven't noticed it on my Hive Controller though, maybe because he doesn't weigh as much, what with him missing a chunk of his thorax
