Anyone else missing playing their hunter?
Anyone else missing playing their hunter?
I know I am. I haven't been playing him (except catching pets.) Because I transferred to Hyjal for a few friends. Who then in 2 weeks transferred off to join a guild they were accepted to on Bleeding Hollow. Since then (Since March) I haven't even attempted to make friends / join a guild there. So that is why I haven't played my hunter in awhile.
So, whats you're excuse?

Still playing hunter, but enjoying other classes as well, as per usual.
What's YOUR excuse?

I made an undead hunter over there. They are social, but it's not like they force you to participate. I'm rather withdrawn with people I don't know that well, so I don't talk to much, but it's nice to be able to share fun pet hunting with them or make random comments about the pilgrim's bounty turkeys inducing severe ocd killing sprees and not have anyone think I'm a loon.AdamSavage wrote:I was there but I left. Sometimes it's just nice to have some noise in the background, or in this case, text in the background to enjoy.

Special thanks to Ket-shi!

Totally this. Some days I'll log in and chat constantly, and some days I log in and say almost nothing at all, but both days it's still funKyonarai wrote:I made an undead hunter over there. Also I haven't played my hunter for a few days...but it's only because of the OMFG TROLL DRUID kick I'm on. Since I've wanted troll druids for SO LONG now....

Re: Anyone else missing playing their hunter?
I do miss playing my Hunter in a few ways. I do still play him but he's now firmly in the alt category as my Shaman has taken over as main.
When I do have Anansi out and about, as I have over the weekend checking out some of the new pets and grinding Bilgewater rep (done already on my Shaman), it just feels like there's something lacking. My DPS is fine, I'm not having trouble with the Focus system so it's not that, I just don't feel the same connection to him anymore, which makes me a bit sad.
I think the problem is really that I'm bored of being stuck in one role, DPS. If the Hunter were a hybrid class then I might not feel the same way really as I like having role options. Have to admit though, that the new Troll log in screen makes it mighty hard to refuse him.

Re: Anyone else missing playing their hunter?
Mmmm, this. I'm glad I'm in a situation where I'll be able to play my hunter and a healer regularly. Being "just a dps" drives me nuts, but I still love playing Kalli. It's a nice balance.Anansi wrote:I think the problem is really that I'm bored of being stuck in one role, DPS. Yeah. I'm not going to disregard my Hunter, I still intend on playing him but he'll be leveled with much less of a priority than my Shaman. Once they're both 85 again I'll work on my Hunter as time allows.Kalliope wrote: Mmmm, this. I'm glad I'm in a situation where I'll be able to play my hunter and a healer regularly. The thing with my Shaman though is that I can heal and do ranged DPS (in a manner more entertaining than Hunters at the moment) so I find it hard to justify time spent on the Hunter. On the upside hopefully by the time he's ready to get into T11 gear, T12 will be out and I can get through the T11 as quickly as I possibly can and not be stuck in a Murloc Stalker watery hell!
Depending on how Hunters are at 85 I may make him my PvP character.

I'm too cheap to pay the monthly fee right now, so i'm screwing around on a trial acc. </3
[Arrow of Mending]
*20 Focus, Instant Cast; 4 Second Cooldown.
Fires a leafy arrow of nature to mend your target for 3200 + (Y% Attack Power). The arrow ricochets off
of your target, healing the next most injured player within range; if no wounded players are within range,
the arrow will magically navigate its way to the crotch of the nearest horde, inflicting 9000 pwn damage.
[Cannot be used in combat; can only be used in combat.]

I've always managed to keep sane while playing my hunter. I get to DPS in groups, tank things with my pet solo (which is often), and i'm the healer for my pet and only mt pet. ^^-
