I wasn't sure if you knew about this, but our community members Zeilla and Kalliope have an ongoing Vlog regarding the same topic, with new Cataclysm pets and hunter info.

Not that there's anything wrong with additional videos, there can never be too much information, but I thought I'd point it out. ^^

I like Z's videos but i just thought id give my own 2 cents and hopefully have a few more episodes available regularly. But hats off to Z, she does a great job. I just fancied making a series I'll be pleased as punch if you guys like my videos half as much as you like Z's.

The reason why I wanted to point it out is that it seems a bit.....I hesitate to use the term 'poor taste', but it does come across as slightly abrupt to advertise your own pet Vlog when there was an established one here already. Again, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having one, I think that's great! Seeing as you are a brand new member though, and your only posts have been your youtube links, it seemed a bit odd.

Not trying to scare you away! It was just something that needed to be mentioned. ^^

The video's are an informative resource for hunters looking to tame some of the scarcer new pets. Quite a few have not been covered by some of the already established Vlogs and i feel i am entitled to "advertise" here as i am contributing honestly to the community. I am not here to clash, or one up anyone. Im taming some pets which is what i love to do, and sharing the experience via these Vlogs with an aim to inform and entertain as i go along
Long time reader of these forums, first time contributor. As long as somebody finds my video's useful then its worth it ey.

You know you've been lurking here for a long time and so you (rightfully) feel a connection to the Petopian community. But from an outside perspective, it looks like you just turned up in order to promote your vids, since that's all we've seen from you thus far. This can change over time, of course; this is just how things appear to be right now.

The internet is full of varied interpretations on subjects, so there's room for everyone!

It is obvious that you have somehow taken offence to my videos. Your offence does not seem to stem from finding my video's;
A: Useless
B: Poorly made or,
C: Abusive
Instead you seem to have taken a personal afront to me having created them in the first place and had 'the nerve' to post them on these forums without gaining prior clearance from some authority. Forgive me for believing that this is a forum affiliated with a Hunter community site, that aims to inform people as to the whereabouts of tameable pets. I do not make any money from creating these videos, there is no corporate advertising involved. The videos i create and post on these forums are there purely as a resource for other hunters. I can understand somebody not enjoying the video's because they already know how to obtain a pet i feature in them or they don't enjoy a joke i make; i do however find your immediate prejudice surprising, considering that my aim coincides with that of the Petopia website and Forum.

"Taking offence" is too strong a phrase. I just want you to be aware of how you seem to be coming across, as the image projected is clearly not your intent. It's all part of being aware of what image you're putting out there - public relations, if you will. I was only trying to be helpful. :/

You don't need clearance to post your videos. I'm just encouraging you to post here for other reasons as well as linking your new work. That's all.

Since in this thread my video's were referred to as being in "poor taste" i reserve the right to feel at least marginally alienated. I do understand where your coming from and you will find me much more active on these forums. One other thing, i do not lurk in these forums; I neurally link myself to their very bit stream!

I've got to be honest here guys, I think a couple of you are over-reacting. How is this any different from someone posting pictures of critters they've tamed and explaining the experience/giving info through text? First-time posters do that on here all the time and no one throws a fit over it. Beyond that, sure, there may already be "established vlogs" on Petopia or whatever, but this is the internet; nobody can lay claim to any singular topic and dominate it. There are no monopolies on the internet. If you think you have a unique idea, type it into Google and grab a box of tissues.

It might be different if tabarnackle was trying to sell something, but from my point of view it just seems like he/she is doing what everyone else on here does, only in video form. /shrug
