Gezzarak Don't-Do's

I just hit level 72 today and immediately struck out for Gezzarak. A helpful guildie was to do the summoning, while I 'helped' him farm scrolls and dust for seeing her.

To see the mobs you need: 6 Shadow Dusts
Things you need to farm off the mobs: 10 Time-Lost Scrolls (very low droprate)

Luckily the time you get these mobs has been upped to 20 minutes, so you shouldn't need to repeat this arduous process for one tame, right? Well, if you avoid this.

1) There are elite trees that roam near some of Gezzarak's Skull Piles
The first summon, one snuck up on us. In the frenzy of trying to protect my guildmate and pull Gezzarak off his Thumderstomping bear, we both ended up dead. She despawned. Cue apology and beg for a resummon. Back to the grind!

2) If another person summons her and you don't grab her aggro and they FD, she will ignore you and despawn.
To avoid a dying fiasco, he was to feign death when she summoned so I could frost trap and tame. Well, she's immune to frost it seems, and immune to my presence. She despawned on the spot, much to my wails. GRIND ONCE MORE WITH A 200G BRIBE

Finally! A successful tame! Watching out for trees, having him dismiss his pets and stand there, I shot her up and tamed with no problem.

So she's not inherently tricky, but her summons is tedious, so try to avoid my mistakes.

haha yha XD I summoned her up for a guilde and a good friend both times took 3-4 trys for them to get the tame, she kept agroing to me, but we figured out it was best to clear the zone, me run as about 40 yards from him after I summoned with his back to a tree, he would shoot her and start taming when she was in range, it worked alright though there were several close calls

FYI, anyone on alleria up for attempting this, just add Isaba, I have the quest and and easily willing to farm scrolls/dust no worrys about paying

good tame, grinding some mats and being able to summon when you want is definitely much better than camping for hours or even days or weeks for a rare spawn. gratz

Gezzarak can be a hard tame even at level 80 in full epics. First of all make sure to clear all trash mobs around area; they just end up getting in the way. Next who ever spawns her gets the aggro, so if your trying to help someone else tame make sure they pull aggro on her, don't FD or run around. Gezz is immune to all Ice traps; so don't even try just getting a min distance for taming. Also before trying using something to boost your haste. She also has a knock back, can warp around you and still hits hard. I found that if you use one of the huts or tents that the bird guys hide in this can relieve the issue of both, since your in a small space she cant warp behind you and if she uses knock back you don't fly back.
