THIS guy.
I currently have the red beetle as my tanking pet, but THIS guy..

Has me interested. Anyone else plan on bee lining him? I can't decide if he or Ghostcrawler will be my priority.. What cata pet do you want the most? I am also watching that black cat in (ulda?), the crystaly one. If it can be tamed, I will definatly have one named Onyx. Maybe Onyxia..heh.

Re: THIS guy.
I'm going to get him as soon as humanly possible. Terrorpene will be 'that' pet that I camp endlessly for. It'll be madness at the beginning of an expansion, but I'll try.
Re: THIS guy.
I will likely not be leveling until I have him (past 81 anyways)... unless I level from killing spawns around him out of bordom.

Re: THIS guy.
I want Karoma as soon as I can--but that requires level 85 and I'm uncertain if I'll be able to grab Cata for awhile (finance-wise). That skin is why I made a hunter, though, and major thumbs-up to whatever dev realized that the whole Spirit Beast theme was a good way to reintroduce the appearance

Re: THIS guy.
I have one of my last 2 pet slots reserved for him. But, I won't bother camping him till I hit 85. For one thing, my guild is going to be pushing to raid ASAP. And the other big reason I won't: There will be too many people out there camping him for the tame along with all the douche bag griefers that will kill him just to piss everyone off as well as the random ignorant types that go "OOOOOOH! SILVER DRAGON! ME KILL FOR LEWTS!"

Re: THIS guy.
I like him and will get him, but if I start camping during Cata it will be for the blue ghost wolf.
I know my luck though, and given how many people will be after him, I'll wait awhile before I start camping. Otherwise I'll get too ticked off at random hunters popping in while I am camping-the whole "HEY I WAS HERE FIRST" mentality, plus my temper and stubbornness-it would not be a good thing for me to camp right off the bat.
I'll get them if I see them, but I plan on spending my time learning the new stuff.
That said, I want these guys when I can after cata is out.

Re: THIS guy.
See, I disagree. A LOT of hunters wanted that skin, and I'm not sure a rare spawn with a highly sought after skin was the way to go.Acherontia wrote:major thumbs-up to whatever dev realized that the whole Spirit Beast theme was a good way to reintroduce the appearance
Though, it IS fair to the people who tamed the Grimtotem dogs before they were retired, so that's a small plus.

Re: THIS guy.
Yeah, that's what I meant--they probably figured it'd be unfair to all those who had it as a rare pet forever, and also be unfair to those who were denied it on the grounds that it was an "undead appearance not fitting with the Hunter theme" or w/e. Now that we have a few spectral pets in one family, they probably figured it was a fitting place--I'm just glad they thought of it and were kind enough to put it back in!

Huh? Really? I thought the new areas were empty until 7th. I've done some eagle eying in Hyjal, and there are no mobs there. o.O

Re: THIS guy.
It's fair and it's unfair; see there are people who wanted to tame but because Blizzard lied about leaving them ingame and tameable, not many people rushed. I myself didn't rush because Blizzard said they were leaving them ingame. And then what, 24 hours later, it's retired?!Cozzene wrote:See, I disagree. There's also the fact I had an MM hunter who I would have loved this on, and guess what- yep she had to respecc to BM. And I was actually having fun as MM. But I want the ghost wolf, so the only thing I can do is bite the bullet and go BM- and no I'm not buying dual specc it's a waste of a 100g on a toon that won't raid, see a raid or do anything more than be an alt.
Making it an Exotic and exclusive pet was not the way to go as A: true BM hunters will be after it, B: people with BM as a flavor specc for sparklies will go after it and C: people who hate hunters/hate BM/hate having to share their shiny skins may go on a killing spree of the rare. I heard tales of how a cow terrorized an entire server basically because he had 'OCD' or extreme obsession over Skoll and after he tamed his he would not allow anyone to tame Skoll when he was on [killing players and killing Skoll].
:| they should have made grimtotem spirit guides in stonetalon be tameable too. As normal wolves. This way BM gets their shiny spirit beast or MM/SV get their shiny wolves and everyone is truly happy.

Not on my server. Seen loads of mobs and npc's in Twilight Highlands and Uldum so far. Haven't checked other area's though...erwil wrote:Huh? Really? I thought the new areas were empty until 7th. I've done some eagle eying in Hyjal, and there are no mobs there. o.O
Re: THIS guy.
Definitely Sambas, although I probably won't be leveling my hunter for a long, long time.
Re: THIS guy.
can you give us a map screenshot or something, pointing out the location? Your petopia friends would love you.amrasillias wrote:I'v used a Eagly Eye macro to view in the new area's and found Sambas already. So I know where to campNow to find Terrorpene...

Re: THIS guy.
Regarding Eagle Eye--I've already "camped" Karoma with it. If you aren't seeing mobs, it's because you went too fast and/or too far and it's only loading landscape--it happens
And yeah Ryai, they should have NEVER said it would remain tameable, then reversed that without warning. I was rather upset when I heard. But afterward, I think this is a neat move--it's a comprimise imo between keeping it unavailable and making it a common-as-dirt free-for-all.
I may regret saying that after camping her fruitlessly for a year or two, but that's how I see it atm

Ooh, cheers a bunch! Had not thought of that. Was a bit "wut.." when I tried it the first few times, couldn't see any mobs but all the other textures loaded. I'm gonna go and try again!Acherontia wrote:Regarding Eagle Eye--I've already "camped" Karoma with it.
