Cower no longer Auto-Casting?

I've been playing on my shiny new Forsaken Hunter and have noticed that my pets don't seem to be using Cower on their own, anymore. At least not when they get hit, like they used to.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or an intended change? Or is it happening to anyone else?

Hmm, I'll try to test it myself.

I know my pets usually hit cower when they're at low health. I never really looked for the exact percentage, but I'd wager 1/3 or 1/4 maybe.

I think they use it automatically once they drop below 40% health (or was it 30%?).

Mine was autocasting whenever it started taking heavy damage, even at higher health. I'll have a look later, but meanwhile, what level is your hunter? Maybe they don't use it before level 10?

I noticed this last night, while having a solo battle against Doomwalker. Panzer used to cast Cower every time it was off CD when he was being attacked. In this battle, I didn't see it auto-cast once, and auto-cast was on. And I can assure you, he was definitely taking lots of damage! On the other hand, Shell Shield was being auto-cast at 50% health, as usual.

Considering that Cower makes your pet move slower, maybe Blizzard figured it's more advantageous to make the person manually cast this.
