Realm Transferring and Recruit a Friend Question

My BF is coming back after being inactive for almost a year, is it possible to “Recruit” him back? Or would he just have to go through via the Trial, and start from scratch for the Recruit a Friend program?

Also, his account is still inactive, and he wants to move his characters to different Servers. So is it possible to transfer characters while the account is inactive, or do you have to add a time card, and then wait for your characters to become playable (thus losing playtime)?

You can recruit only a friend that has no account yet - which means recruiting the boyfriend (or does BF stand for best friend nowadays?) back will start him a completely new account.

Not sure about the realm transfers though.

There should be a "scroll of resurrection" option in your account management page somewhere, if he purchases gametime/gets cataclysm then you should get some sort of minor reward (probably a month free gametime) for doing that.

Not sure if you can xfer chars while an account is "frozen" - it's doubtful but all you need to do in order to find out, is log into his account management page and attempt to move a character, if you make it as far as the <insert Credit Card details here> page, then it should be safe to assume that you can xfer toons on an inactive account.

You only lose like.. pff.... 15-20 minutes gametime from xfering characters anyway? It's nothing huge.

You could also (probably) set up a new cataclysm account for $80 USD as a RAF account and xfer his characters from his inactive account to the RAF account (that's if you're wanting to level new characters together.) You would get the touring rocket and a month free playtime.

Ah, he said he'd have to wait two days to play his characters Well I can't check anything on the site because I don't have my Authenticator with me Thanks for the info, I'm not too worried about getting the mount, I like that it's a two person mount, but the rocket model doesn't appeal to me, we just wanted to see if it was possible!

Might be, and i've transferred a dozen or do characters over the last couple of years, it's never taken more than 40 minutes for the character to become playable again (except in the case of my old mage during TBC, where me and several others were on the forums complaining after a week, but that was just extremely mad timing!)
