The Fight for Nuramoc
So I decided to look for Nuramoc and I wont lie, I didnt think I would find him. Everyone was saying how easy it is to get him. So I made a comment about how hard it is to find him.....Yeahh the next pic shows some Irony,
SO I chase him down and start taming. All of a sudden some jerk Aliance DK comes after him, and starts killing him.
Its then I notice..the guy is flagged. I quickly call badefang and DPS on the guy like crazy, He goes down.
Nuramoc is at like 1o percent life. So I dismiss Blade, and FD. HE flys away and heals. After that I chase his purple booty down AAAAND>>.....

Grats! I'm glad the other guy didn't end up being a problem, and I hope he saw you later after your successful tame
I've never seen him in the wild before when I do my cursory checks for OL rares. :X He's pretty though!

Woot! Told you he was pretty easy!
Though I am ashamed of my Alliance brethren for being such a jerk trying to kill him mid-tame.
Blizzard should do something to make mobs that could be pets invisible to others during the taming process.

Re: The Fight for Nuramoc
It could well be that the DK was intentionally trying to steal a kill... but sometimes people either don't see you, or just don't realize what you're doing - they see the rare, they see that it's not tagged and HP bar is at full, and figure "all clear!". Would be nice if they had tame beast inflict a token 1 pt of dmg before the tame effect starts.
Had that happen to me the other day whilst I was taming Vultros on a lowbie alt - a worgen hunter came up from the other direction mid-tame and started attacking it; fortunately once he realized what was going on, he stopped and let me tame it - but I can see how if he'd been higher level, better geared or just too caught up in the thrill of finding a rare how it could have turned out differently.
Anyhow grats on the new pet!
(And even if the DK's motives were innocent, if you flag yourself then you gets what you gets...)

woohoo grats! i love this pet and use him for my raids =3 *huggels Shadowsin* i had quite a hard time catching this guy when i whent out to re-tame him. used to have him but with only 5 pet slots he got left behind untill the big change. had to beat a mass of other new BM hunters to the tame after 4 days of camping to get him back xD after that i constantly found him again and always whent looking for a hunter who might want him.
Grats on your luck- good thing the dk didnt have the chance finish him off. sometimes i can be so ashamed of my ally brothers v.v

Grats! I've been looking for this one on and off for about 2 months now.
I was wondering what I was gonna name him when I found him...But that is perfect, may I name mine that as well?FuzzyDolly wrote:WOOT! I need to go get PeopleEater back one of these days. He went on sabatical when I found Aotona.
