Cause nothing good ever comes after that statement.
My guild name got reported and everyone got online today to find out
it's just Pwncess Guild.
I am so sad that I don't even have the creativity to come up with another guild name.
We've been a guild since Sept 09 and done so much together.
We've gotten so much positive feedback from the other players and pugs we've joined
that I never thought this day would come.
And why won't Blizzard send me another email so I can change it to a new name already!

There is nothing in there that states it's bad. It's all in how you interpret it.

That's just stupid. You can't have that for a guildname? Wow... Way to be stupid, Blizz. It's not even particularly explicit. I've seen far worse than Hordecore Pwnography. FAR worse. And those guilds have survived since early TBC, at least.

and yet HP is bad.
I just know it had to be the guild of the guy I fought my little Jadefang pet for.
I posted another topic about it a couple days ago.
Basically the guy was a tool and got upset so he probably had his entire guild report me.
Oh well.
I'll come up with a name sooner or later!

Sadly, since it's already been reported, I have to go through a process to change the name.
I have to wait for an email to be sent to me so I can change it.
Speak to someone to have it changed.
So I can't use the same thing with special characters cause they won't allow it.
I'm not sure if I have to turn it in via email or speak to a GM in-game
but this just sucks.

You know what's ironic about that, I just saw someone in a guild called Hordecore Pwnography (but with funky ASCII letters in it) yesterday when I was doing a random on my baby shaman and wondered how it hadn't been reported yet.
No offense to you or anything, I wouldn't report somebody's character or guild name unless it was something truly offensive, but all it takes is like one person to get upset at someone in your guild, report the guild name, and get the name changed by the GMs.
What happens is that, if it can make it through Blizzard's filters, than (usually) Blizzard will not go out of their way to change the name on their own; they will wait until it gets reported (otherwise they'd spend all day doing nothing but taking away character and guild names).
There was a horde guild that had that happen to them back on Uther. Their name was Thirteen Inches, I believe, and they'd been around for a while, then some guy reported 'em because he wanted the name (or something silly like that) and they were forced to change their guild name. (Can't remember what my boyfriend said they renamed it to.)
My guess is that since your guild has actually been around for so long that someone got mad at you or one of your guildmates, or genuinely found it offensive, and reported it. I'm sorry it has to happen to you.

I don't think it's so much that everyone on WoW is a prude who reports names like that
But more that they are jealous and know that the name will become available again in 30 days or something.

Ouch... sucks. I remember once a Horde Guild I was in named " Iron Hooves " was reported... because apparently in another country its a slang term for a gay person. Or something sexual, I don't remember which. At another point, my friend named Clypsafivu had her name repoted because " It's not an RP name and we're on an RP realm! ". Uhhh... wait, since when wasn't Clypsafivu an RP name? And since when did this person have the right to decide which names were 'RP enough'? And another friend named Theballs. We told everyone it was pronounced "theh-bulls", but not many people bought it, it was reported a week later.
This from the same server that allowed a trio of people name Domehard, Domesidewayz, and another variation of that to exist for a few weeks before they were reported. Not for their names, but for harrassment. <grumbles>
As for the new guildname, if you want to keep up with the Pwn theme, why not " My Little Pwnies? ". Not very menacing... but entertaining!

I dunno what the philosophy behind the naming is or why.. but from a game that uses feces.. and farts and what the hell ever they come up with... names is the least of the worries. They should put more effort into you account in violations go to this link.. than a name. Fave horde guild name I seen so far Camel Tows and lol the ironic part of it is.. If they give you the option to change it, just attempt to submit the original name; if that fails then just throw in an á or an é. The blizzard employee who removed the original name has probably already forgotten about it, and I doubt they keep records of things like this for future reference..

I know I've seen that name on Blackrock so I just did a search for guilds with the same name. 86 in total. Maybe you can argue the right to keep the name or if you're not allowed to, why should the other 85/86 guilds get to.
