<Idealistic History> Recruiting on Alterac Mountains

Unread post by Cerah »

Not sure if this really belongs in the Petopians guild section, but meh.

My guild, <Idealistic History>, is a rather small guild, small as in right now it consists of only 7 active members, about 40ish toons including all our alts. Basically, it's just me, my boyfriend, his brother and sister, our friend the from high school, and a couple of my trusted WoW friends. We wanted to keep as a small, friendly guild, no pressure, no strict raiding schedule, just friends hanging out and leveling together, running the occasional dungeon, etc.

The thing is, we all kind of want more of the Guild achievememts now, esp. those shiny new mounts, but we simply don't have enough people to do guild raids, and have it actually count as a guild run. According to WoWpedia, we need 10/40 players per raid run to be in our guild for classic raids (despite the fact most classic raids can be done with less than 10 lvl 80s), 20/25 for 25-mans, (again, stupid for BC raids), and at least 8/10 for 10-mans. We're focused on having fun, not constantly grinding for gear, so we'd like to do a lot of older raid content, stuff we've never had the chance to do on our "ICC/Cata raids or Nothing!" server. You don't have to be level 85 and geared up the wazoo to raid in our guild either -- we'll happily take a bunch of lvl 60s through AQ20, for example.

So I was thinking, since we want to recruit more people, but still want it to be a friendly, trusting guild, why not ask here? After all, pretty much everyone here I consider a WoW friend. I'd love to have practically everyone here aboard! So I guess what I'm saying is I'd like <Idealistic History> to be kind of a sister guild to <Petopians> on Alterac Mountains. We'll take anyone, of any level, any class, any spec (the only catch is it's a Horde guild -- though we were thinking of starting an Alliance one called <Evil Horde Spies>). Basically, it's the same kind of friendly, helpful environment that <Petopians> and <Ominous Latin Name> is. We'll help you level up if you want to try out a new toon there, and, of course, help hunt for new pets!

We also have a unique little system going for our guild. Everyone gets their own custom rank, that's applied to all their alts. For example, all 9 of my Alterac toons have the rank "Security Orc" (even the non-Orcs), my bf's is "Keepers of Lore", etc. So basically we can tell who is playing when, and it's just an extra, fun little perk. As long as it's not something obvioulsy offensive, your personal rank can be anything you want.
Edit: We ran out of ranks ^^; so anyone from Petopia will be given the rank, "Petopian", lol. Told you we had a small guild. I didn't know there was a limit to the number of ranks we could have.

Alterac Mountains is low-to-medium population PvP server, though I don't personally do much pvping myself, we can also pvp if that's what you're into. My bf and his high school friend both have pvp toons, and I don't mind battlegrounds. As long as the thought of the occasional ganking doesn't bother you, I'm sure you'll fit right in. It's really no different from a regular server, except you don't have to worry about whether or not you're flagged, because you always are outside capital cities and starter zones.

So please, if you're interested, say so here, give me a PM, or just contact me in game. My main's Cerah, and my alts, all part of the guild, are Emielee, Taysha, Lighthope, Bessey, Lydeea, Fateflare, Trixzie and Meggera. There's a slight chance I might be on as my sole Alliance toon on Alterac, Liesa. My bf's main, (he's the guildmaster) is Anyetah.

I really hope to hear from some of you soon! :)

The only part that made me certain this was a horde guild. Just sayin', maybe if you can link the guild on the armory so people can look at it that way would help, hehe.
