Graphical Glitch on Standard Drakes (PTR)

Huh, I actually kind of like that new back scale pattern. Perhaps it's intentional?

Maybe--but (and it may not be visible from the picture) it cuts REALLY abruptly into the old one. It's like a chunk of "new scale" got stuck on top of the old one, and it cuts off mid-scale on top of the old pattern.

It also makes the drake look very "hippy" and fat from the side, almost like there's a huge hump of extra armor there, although I'm sure it's just lighting/shading : /

Edit--I just figured it out >.>

If you look at the drake from the side--which I haven't provided a view of--the scales themselves, the shading etc doesn't line up. I looked for awhile; it's the NECK textures, applied to the rump.

I'm wondering if the armored blue drake from Malygos is affected by this glitch as well (I can't remember if it's got its own .m2 from the top of my head)?

I think that new.. butt texture is from the Mottled Drake. But on that one it has the plates extending from the neck all the way down the back, not the sort of grid of scales on the other drakes. No idea why they'd change the rest of the drakes. Or only half change them.

Seriously, I said it once and I'll say it again. Patches break dragon mounts everytime XD

It's also on all the drakes in my collection. Including the Ony drake.

If you don't have one, you might not be aware that the spikes stretch in all kinds of distracting and odd ways. They still do, but in different odd ways. The elbows seem to be different too. So there may be some deliberate fiddling with the drake models going on. At least an attempt to correct some of the weirdness with the Ony drake seems to be happening.

I just threw this together, so I'm not sure you see the back and spikes so well.
