Monkeys Go Au Naturel In Deadmines
Short and sweet: apparently taming the 'mining pick moneys' in Deadmines no longer gets you a monkey with a mining pick! So the good news is that your monkey will be a stable color when tamed. The *bad* news is that if you enjoy it with the pick, you're sadly out of luck. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)

Re: Monkeys Go Au Naturel In Deadmines
Does anyone have a psycho pick monkey from before the change? If so, can you confirm whether it still keeps its pick or not on the current PTR?

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm glad for this change. I can finally get my stable-color brown monkey, without it having to look all creepy-psychotic!!! ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Although....I'm not sure who I'm taming on now. x_x xD
It does suck that we can't have both, but it's pretty clear that the picks weren't intended, so I guess it was bound to happen.

The pick is gone. I had a monkey from before PTR, and his pick has been recalled by the Mining Company. Darn.

While I'm not sure whether or not a mining pick up one's ass counts as clothing, this is going to be an interesting change. Are the monkeys acting like any other monkey, now that their picks have been confiscated?

Cute doesn't need an explanation.

Re: Monkeys Go Au Naturel In Deadmines
Having not tamed a monkey in the past, I can't be sure if they are or not. As far as I know they are. But I don't know for certain!

Re: Monkeys Go Au Naturel In Deadmines
Aw darn, that's one of the reasons I tamed a monkey. Named him Jack and got him in the color of the PotC monkey too! The pick was a bonus, since the little bugger was such a thief in the movies.

Re: Monkeys Go Au Naturel In Deadmines
And it's the reason why those monkeys were glitched and evidently not attacking like they should have- someone actually posted a thread about it, that mining monkeys were glitched and not using basic attacks if I remember right. Or was it special attacks? Anyways it was something. They even had to ticket a few times to get a GM to understand what the problem was/is.Macha wrote:Aw darn, that's one of the reasons I tamed a monkey.
This is evidently Blizzards only way to fix the problem and honestly a fix is better than a vanity pet :p
