Hot Streak!

Several enjoyable things occurred for me yesterday, three involving pets, one involving humorous combat. I'll keep it short;

First, I finally tamed Terrorpene. Had a friend pull up in the driveway, went to park my hunter, BLAMMO HORNS AND LOUD NOISES AND RED FLASHING LIGHTS, a moving island was before me. Hit my tame macro (/tar terrorpene, /use belt with the shield tinker, /cast Rapid Fire, /cast Tame Beast), and tamed it with no interruptions. Just a moment after taming, not seen in my screenshot, my good ol' friend from my last Terrorpene attempt shows up, and /rude's me a ton of times. I just /smile and let my character idle out of the game with my afk message as "Tamed Terrorpene at 3:01pm Server time. Good luck next time!"

Second, I went into a heroic with a warlock and rogue friend later in the day. We got Lost City, and I had my turtle (Now named Vesuvius, after the mountain. Original, I know.). We clear up to the first boss, and out of nowhere, the tank dies. I quickly turn tank mode on for my pet, activate taunt and keep MD up. I'm in Survival spec, and don't have the glyph so I can't permanently keep him MD'd. The healer is trying to keep the turtle alive while we wait for the tank to run back. 3 minutes of pet tanking, and the tank never ran back. We were short one dps because I was focused on holding aggro on my pet, and the tank was like "oops!" after we wiped. Second attempt, it went smoother, and my pet tanked for the bad tank again, this time with a better and less-casualty attempt. Did this again for Augh and the Blaze of the Heavens. Augh was fun to tank with my pet because of the lack of AoE damage taken, as was holding aggro on the Blaze, since all it does is AoE damage. Simply MD your pet to the Blaze of the Heavens on the next to last boss of Lost City to trivialize the healer's work!

Third, DO NOT attempt to tame one of the beetles in Halls of Origination that do the charge right now. They ignore walls and traps, and will send you flying out of the world! I got hit through a wall, my friends on vent were asking "where the f* did you go?" After a few attempts, I got to tame the green one that spits poison. Third wave in that hallway had a red one, and we unanimously agreed "screw it, kill it, move on".


Finally, If you use camouflage while mounted on one of those camels from the Ptah encounter, you and the camel become stealthed, and you can enter combat while stealthed! It's just a visual glitch, as I was up to 90% aggro by accident many times, so this isn't an exploit or game-breaking glitch. I was still stealthed into the phase where Ptah breaks apart, but couldn't do it during that phase since you can't Camo in combat. Also, the beetles that spawn in this phase are tamable, but you can't tame while mounted as you technically have an active pet because of that. The beetles are most likely color changers, as the ones I saw were red, blue, and green uldum variants.

Still, you use a camel for the Ptah fight? Wouldn't that be a huge DPS loss as a Beast Master?

I go survival for dungeons when I'm not leveling exotic pets. I've done heroics without using a pet as survival because the pet usually dies from healer neglect

It does, but not by much. I've watched my tame speed with and without any haste buffs. Rapid Fire shaves off like half a second at most, but every little bit helps.
