Goodbye my hunters Solarii and Byakuren. Goodbye
Hey everyone. I just got a shock, 4 days ago my fiance broke up with me, and now I'm back in Texas. The sad thing is all of my characters on Wow have alot of connection with him. My two hunters have been deleted, I didn't want to but I can't play them anymore since alot of the story for them have been intergrated with his characters. He helped me so much with them and the memories made would make me cry. One of these days I might just make a new hunter and start again. I appreciate everyone who had helped me with my two hunters when I leveled or when I was hunting for a rare pet. I appreciate the help.

So sorry to hear that, Solarii!
It's going to be a tough time, but remember, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

At least we're here to offer hugs and support
I have an in-game friend going through a similar issue. Don't be afraid to ask for help in sorting out your emotions; they're probably heaped together in one ugly mess, I imagine.

You can always get Blizzard to restore them in time and pay to race/faction change them and begin life anew, without a backstory.

All the best and I hope in time you're able to find peace with the memories of the past.
Take care

thank you everyone. I haven't been able to stop crying for the last 72 hours. I go from good memories to bad ones that is driving me nuts. I go to happy to upset, so mood changes I don't like either. I want to make a hunter but I do not know what to call her. I love Japanese culture so I do alot of names from there! Any thoughts

I was totally thinking this also, but then I thought if you wanted to start afresh, it would be ever so cathartic to begin a new with a clean a clear slate, I really get that. You can build and experience everything with brand new and exciting stories and they can be yours alone.Kalliope wrote:*hugs* I'm sorry to hear that. :/

I am truly sorry to hear of your pain, I wish your heart as soft as possible recovery and remember... wow is going no where, take your time.

I'm afraid I am not one to ask when it comes to Japanese, but I do have a different idea from English (I do know that ).Solarii wrote:thank you everyone. Ameliorate means to make/become better; to improve. May just be me, but Amelior seems like a name to me.
Maybe you can find a Japanese term for ameliorate. Other ideas would be Japanese terms that mean 'catharsis', 'to begin anew', or 'a fresh start'. A name that makes you think to the future rather than remind you of the past, or at least helps you move on from the past.
Oh, and 72 hour of tears? Time to bring in the big guns, I guess:
Hope you feel better soon!

Ah yes, this too - it's completely individual to each person. SB is completely right; I was just pointing out that you had the option if you all of a sudden had a change of heart.Spiritbinder wrote:I was totally thinking this also, but then I thought if you wanted to start afresh, it would be ever so cathartic to begin a new with a clean a clear slate, I really get that. I know how you feel, I've nearly deleted several of my characters after painful splits. I have characters that I leveled with people I was very, very close to that I just can't play anymore, but I don't have the heart to delete them. I am sorry to hear of your loss, and I hope that the pain passes as fast as possible.

Something else you may consider is a race change. That way you don't have to start all the way over but you still have a new beginning in a way.
And of course *big huggles!*
Whenever I need a name I go to babynames.com and search for an adjective I like, such as a color or something of the sort. As far as Japanese names go, an anime you like? They tend to have some pretty neat names. n___n

Yeah, race changing and name changing can help. I race changed both my main hunters and name changed one of them after I split up with my ex. Even had to release some pets cause it was too much of a reminder. But, maybe try that.

Race changes do include an optional name change for no extra charge, iircMiraga wrote:Something else you may consider is a race change. That way you don't have to start all the way over but you still have a new beginning in a way.

The only problem would be what Teigan mentioned; the pets will have an awful lot of memories tied to them as well.
