Of GMs and interesting good luck

Little back story: The other night I sent in a ticket asking if it would be possible to move my Razzashi raptor from my hunter to my new troll druid. I explained that I already figured it wasn't possible but wanted to ask anyway since it would look awesome with my troll. It ended up getting an in-game mail response since they were so busy that day. The reply was, as expected, a "nope we can't do that". However, the GM was also nice enough to "Wish you the best of luck with any rare mounts you get in the future.". I felt happy for the good wishes and logged for the night. I know it's probably just dumb luck, but still a funny coincidence that the RNG is my best friend today...

I've pinched myself twice. Still have yet to wake up.

Thank you, oh kind GM who seems to have broken me out of the rare mount funk I was in. Thank you, wherever you are!

I would think the same thing, LupisDarkmoon, if I didn't seriously doubt that such a thing would be possible for a GM to do.

It could be possible despite them never admitting to it of course. Could always be really good luck. It's how the GM decided to wish you luck on any rare mounts you may find in the future that makes me wonder.

You know what I was kind of thinking of doing this one day myself, but under a little bit of a different circumstance. I have the raptor on my hunter, and while in there grinding rep, it dropped again! ( and no I never got the tiger

)

I never had the heart to delete it so it sits in my bank as a "you already know this mount". I always had a fantasy of asking a GM if I could move the item to another character, and he would say " sure, no problem, where too?" but I kind of knew the answer too... looks like I may have been right

I'm sure there's the possibility of that at least happening since it's a mount that's still unlearned. Mine was already in my mount tab and had been there for quite a while.
If you ever do ask, try to be specific like "Would it be possible to mail the mount from this toon to that toon?" or even a roundabout "Can you delete this from this toon and add the item back in on that toon?".

Either way, I'm sure there's always the case of getting a particularly nice GM willing do to something like that.

On my dk, I had three green proto's hatch from the egg in a row. I put in a ticket to see if I could have the second and third moved to other characters but the answer was no.

But wow, what amazing good luck you had!
