Blackrock Battle Worg Solo'ed at level 17

If anybody else is as excited as I was that the Blackrock Battle Worg has become tamable at level 16/17, here is a tip. For those of you unfamiliar with this guy, he is this gorgeous wolf skin:



I tried a couple of different areas to tame one, and when I pulled one about 7-10 would come up and kill me before the tame would go through. Made me want to cry, as I adore this skin and have him on all of my hunters, Shade has Hel and Gypsi has Abbadon. Kitsune, my little level 17 hunter, wanted him too!

Tried from a bunch of different angles and the last one I tried, I pulled, hit tame and died just as the tame beast cast bar went out.

But when I checked my active pet-I had a new black wolf! Hades had come home finally! *happy dance*

Here is the wolf that I pulled and the location at which I stood:


Note you will get mobbed and killed, but if you are lucky, the tame will go through and you'll get this, the most gorgeous of the little wolves. And this was done with no haste pots or anything.

Aww, eww you're right he is still not working properly it seems, pulled some mobs and he would not attack. He follows the movement commands (stay, go here, follow) but does not attack. We'll I have him at least, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Well, at least we know he's still bugged, so he can get fixed! Hopefully that will be soon. I'm with you; I love that wolf skin and was SO happy to see it available at such a low level. Can't wait for the fix!

Don't know if mentioned before but...

Today after a long thought if a wolf companion will be a proper companion to my newly born Worgen hunter,i made a decision to try and tame one of the Blackrock Battle Worgs at Redrige mountains.I saw the posts that saying they become "pacifists" after taming (i mean they refuse to attack their master's target) but i said to myself it's worth at least a try.Anyway long story,short,i went at the Redrige and tamed one,now the GOOD NEWS part:

THEY CAN ATTACK PROPERLY(as for 06/18/11)

So if any of you my fellow Hunters and Huntresses want to add a Blackrock Battle Worg as a companion to your low level or newly started Hunter (and if of course are prepared to die in the process) you can now go and tame one without fear that your new friend won't attack even if your very life is threaten.

Yeah. I started leveling Kitsune about a month ago, and one of the first things I did was pull the p uppy from the stable to test him. Even though he was glitched after I tamed him, he does work properly now.

He truely is one of my top fave creatures in game, even if he is not at all flashy or anything like that.

I started a new hunter (again), as the guild Kitsune is in wanted to make alliance DKs on another server. So I have a new toon I am working on on Nordrassil (or however you spell it). Going to pick up this guy will be one of my first stops when she gets to the right level.

Yes I've just started on Nordrassil US-my NE hunter there is Sidhé. I also moved my lvl 47 ne rouge Zané there, so I could have her bring some gold over for my new hunter, and to help my brother or the other people I know there in leveling (though she was leveled via recruit a friend points and I have no idea how to play rouge).
