So I accidentally abandoned Sambas.
So I spent 6 hours yesterday camping the Sambas rare pet spawns.
Today I was in a raid with a friend trying to enter Blackwing Lair to tame Chromaggus, he just so happened to have a raid lockout AT Chromaggus so I was pretty happy, but when I went to leave the raid I accidentally right clicked my pet (Who's unit frame is next to mine) and hit abandon while I was zoned out thinking I would be leaving the raid. When I hit abandon I thought nothing of the dialog box and hit yes on the dialog box, and then Sambas fades away and I freak.
Has anyone ever asked Blizzard if they could restore a lost pet?
If so, did they do it?
If not, do you think they will?

Re: So I accidentally abandoned Sambas.
Lost pets can be restored just like most other lost gear. Restorations are never guaranteed, but typically a pet is an easy thing to get back. File a ticket, explaining to the GMs what happened, and ask them to please restore your pet. Put your ticket in and sit tight. They'll get with you as soon as they get to your ticket, and I bet your Sambas will be home before you know it!

You can file a ticket to Blizzard with info on your pet and they should restore it. I've had two pets restored and the GMs didn't seem to have a problem with it. (Well both had pretty big lengths of time between when I had them restored)
It might depend on the GM you get. =(

Tahlian your post makes me happy.
As soon as I abandoned him I put a ticket right in, and It's a relief knowing pet restorations are like gear restorations.
@Aleu
This is my first restoration on this account in 5 years, so hopefully they'll give it to me, haha.

Ouch!
In your ticket be sure to include that it was the Sambas model and what you had named the pet. If you can also include around the date/time, that can be helpful to them from my understanding.

Also, if the GM you get can't/won't/doesn't know how to restore the pet, don't take that as the be-all and end-all. I lost Olm, and the first GM who answered my ticket stated that Olm couldn't be returned to me because not only could he not find the NPC, but the ID seemed to be gone as well. The second GM didn't even bother contacting me. Just did a quick pet-shift and /restore while I was offline. Bam. Instant owl.

I hope you get your Sambas home soon!
I accidentally abandoned my (to others) completely unspecial brown scorpid, but boy was I devastated! Luckily a very kind GM restored my Voltaire to me within half an hour. So don't worry, you'll get your baby back.

I have had Olm restored on my account - before they brought him back in this patch, but after the Shattering.
Hopefully you'll be able to get him soon.
Be careful!

Re: So I accidentally abandoned Sambas.
A lot of people have had their pets restored, so no worries at all. Considering it's a new rare tame, I'm sure they'd realize you wouldn't have abandoned it so quickly on purpose.
Hope your ticket gets resolved soon and you are reunited with your Sambas.

Re: So I accidentally abandoned Sambas.
Actually, yes, just last week. I was working on a macro and accidentally abandoned Aotona. I put in very nicely worded ticket, including ALL the information they ask you to include, and within 1 day Aotona had been returned. Needless to say I was very happy.
