A Warlock's death = a fantastic tame! And more. Pics.

Unread post by Konor »

Bleh so I have been having some computer issues. >_< And premature apologies for any rambling.

Anyways, I finally decided it was time to level my Warlock. She'd been sitting at 82 since sometime in December and my Hunter is already about as geared as I can get him without raiding so I figured I should show her some love. So I got her all the way to 84 and we started questing in Twilight Highlands. I had to do the one quest where you collect the scraps of clothing from the npcs. Well, I got ganked by, oh 6 of them... horribly and started to flee south just sort of hoping I would not have to run back to my body (which I cannot stand doing, lol). She gets down to about 20k health and in the distance I see... a misty brown cat butt? Initially I was like "OOOOOOKAY" but then I saw a huge mane and it was not a pet. EEK I am on the wrong character and I forgot where I'd logged my Hunter out. So I try to log out and "You can't do that yet" Doh. Still in combat so I let them kill me and I spammed hellfire. I died and logged over. Fortunately my Hunter was in Org so it was a small flight to the portal. I was prettttttty much sure he was going to be tamed or dead when I got there as I'd seen a few others questing in the area.
And what happened when I get to the area I saw him in? I forget exactly WHERE that was. So I fly around spamming a macro and finally npcscan and track beasts pick him up. I swoop down and start the tame! I was so excited I completely forgot any screen shots. His name is Poseidon now. :D
After I tamed him I was hoping to find my dead Warlock's body and thank it for finding him for me (I think that screenshot would have been hilarious) but alas I could not find it. The only screenshot I did get was after I logged back into the Lock, which is where I tamed him at. This was 7:13 server time.

I figure my luck is pretty good so back to the Hunter and I went to check for Arcturis but he was not there. I think he's a myth personally :D

Then I check for Gondria and she WAS there! This time I managed screenies as I was not TOO worried about anyone ganking her or trying to tame her.
Image

Noticing the bear carcass...maybe that is why Arcturis doesn't like me...hehe.
Image

When the servers come back up I'll post a few pictures of my Hunter with them both. And after these two my search is down to Arcturis, OCJ, Blue Madexx and Terrorpene.

There's something about those warlocks, My NPCscan went off for my last Madexx just as I killed a horde warlock a few weeks ago. People need to roll more warlocks :p

Awesome story, thats like the weekend where I tamed Chromaggus and the next day found King Krush. Sometimes, lady luck smiles upon us.

TY everyone and it WAS a misty brown cat butt! LOL The area I was in is either foggy, misty, smoky or something like that and he was pretty far away. To the point I couldn't see his mane for a second. He was walking away from me so... there ya go. :D And yes I was shaking a lot! I really am sad I got no screenies. The image in my head is way more funny than I am making it out to be.

I adore Poseidon. He has so much personality. He seems to be my herp-derp kitty as you can see in the photos below.

Hairball I assume? That is an awful lot of grooming.

And yes a more dignified pose for such a regal boy.

And my beautiful, beautiful Gondria. I cannot think of a name for her! I really need to brainstorm.

She seems to be looking into your soul in this one.

And this one shows off her pretty coloring really well.

Enjoy and thanks again :D

Yay, Gondria!!! I'm personally not very fond of Sambas (I know, I'm weird), but I'm happy you got him nonetheless. But Gondria.....that's one fine-lookin' kitty! :D

Sambas does have a very misty-sandy soft color to him so i can totally see why you called his backside a misty catbutt XDD

Hate that your lock had to suffer for the find but good to see you actually got to get back and tame him. Unfortunately, neither of my locks are high enough to have such an adventure but maybe one day. Grats on the tames and sweet pics. I can only imagine what the sight was like when your lock found him.
