Ever since seeing a picture here (I need to find the link) of a potential raptor spirit beast, I've wanted *so* much to see one in-game. So my entry is a raptor, though different from the picture posted on the boards before.
Name: Tali <Loa of Resolve> lvl ? (at least 78 elite)
Spawns: Only a 4-6 hour respawn timer, but can appear in one of three different zones:
- Zul'Gurub, roaming the ruins the Gurubashi left behind (they should put
something there!)
- In Zul'Aman, can appear anywhere in the instance, but most commonly right outside Zul'jin's temple.
- very rarely in Southern Durotar, near or on the Echo Isles
Basically, she shows up anywhere where Trolls have shown their stubbornness and resolve, their unwillingness to give up, even in the face of overwhelming odds.
Appearence: Like the
Swift Purple Raptor mount from AT, with the headdress and armour, but without the reins and saddle. Light Purple skin, blue stripes, matching blue feathers on her headdress. Her eyes glow a much more intense blue than the mount's.
Abilities:
- Special: Voodoo Scythe -- Same as a normal Raptor's Tear Armour, except has a small (2-4%) chance of reducing enemies' armour to 0 for several seconds (a plate killer). Works on at least some bosses.
- Exotic: Spirits' Resolve -- Adds a regen effect to the Hunter (stacks with Spirit Bond), and his/her party or raid
- Extra: We Neva Die -- Once every 1/2 hour, Tali can resurrect her dead partner (you, the Hunter) if he/she dies. (like a Hunter version of Ancestral Spirit/Soulstone)
Even after threats from within, like the Soulflayer, and from without, like the High Elves and Humans never-ending drive to exterminate them, the Trolls of Azeroth perservere. They live on, they survive. Tali, the mate of fellow Loa
Gonk the Great Hunter personifies Trollkind's unwillingness to ever give up, their drive to survive against all odds. Tali appears where the Trolls have fought their hardest, where their resolve has been felt most deeply.
Legend has it she once appeared and served as a mount for a Darkspear mage, assisting her in her relentless quest to discover the fate of her lost husband, who had died on Mt. Hyjal (back in WCIII), helping to ensure his people's future with the Horde. She was just one of the many Trolls, and other worthy individuals of Azeroth, that Tali has found and helped. It takes a Hunter with equal resolve to the Loa herself to find her, and perhaps be worthy of her friendship.
