Chapter 1: The Introduction
Running. Why did it feel as if they were always running? Just once it would be nice if they could just relax and enjoy themselves. Be like regular people for a change. Indigosa snorted and looked around at their ragtag group. They had to be the craziest looking bunch anyone had ever seen.
Two night elf cat druids, one of whom looked more like a hunter's pet, a night elf priest, two high elf death knights, and a dragon in disguise as a human rogue...they were definitely an odd bunch. They certainly attracted their fair share of attention too--generally being chased around by a rather malicious gnome named Saturo. The group had fended her off yet again and were trying to recuperate. Alarial had exhausted herself yet again trying to keep them all alive.
Alarial dug through her pack for a water flask, drinking its refreshing contents and regaining some of her energy. Everyone looked tired. Healing at this scale still felt foreign to her. It was something she hadn't learned from the Sisterhood and all this fighting was beginning to stress her out. Azunara let out a small whine from where she lay on the ground. Kozri sat back against a tree, doing a weak job of keeping an eye out on the group's safety.

They had finally managed to get back to a major city--Stormwind seemed to be their usual choice. They needed the rest badly. Alarial had wandered off on her own to try and find a sanct of the Sisterhood. Azunara and Luare went to go visit with Firewing's companions. Kozri, Indigosa, and Decay decided to stay behind at the inn, resting up. Indigosa sat down at a table by herself and ordered a pint of ale, holding her head in her hands as she waited for the waitress. Decay took a seat next to Kozri, sidling shyly up next to the human. If she still had blood, she would be blushing.
The human looked unsure of himself but didn't move. He ordered some tea from the waitress. "Not going to have a drink with Indi?" he asked Decay, breaking their awkward silence.
Decay shook her head. "No, she's been a bit moody lately," she answered quietly. "I think she needs some alone time."
Kozri looked over to Indigosa and frowned. He turned back to Decay and nodded. "Yeah...something seems to be bothering her."
Decay flipped her hair over her shoulder and a small flirtatious smile lit up her features. "Let's just let her be. We have more important matters to discuss."
The human raised an eyebrow and took a sip of the tea the waitress had brought him. "Like what?"
"What we're going to do next. We'll eventually need to keep moving; you know Saturo's not just going to give up."
Kozri stayed silent for a moment, studying his teacup. "I don't think she would try to attack us in a major city like Stormwind," he finally replied.
The death knight shook her head. "Who knows? She might try and openly attack us here, or she could try and get the Cultists to spread false information about us. Saturo can be hard to predict."
A sigh escaped Kozri's lips as he leaned back in his chair and stretched. When he resettled, he steepled his hands and said, "Personally, I think that we should just take it easy for a little bit. We're in a large city full of people; it would do some of us some good to just unwind."
Decay looked slightly taken aback, but then a slow smile appeared. She seemed to be staring at a blank spot in the wall, a finger twirling absently on the table. "You really care about Azu, don't you?"
Kozri gave Decay an amused, sideways glance. "Yes...She's like a little sister to me. I'd do anything for that kid."
No sooner had it been said then Azunara and Luare came walking through the door. Azunara gave a cheerful grin to Kozri and Decay as she padded over and lay down next to them. Luare followed Azunara, lying down next to the other cat with a small purr. Azunara looked around the inn, giving a worried glance at Indigosa.
Just leave it be, Kozri said telepathically to the druid, catching her gaze.
With a small whine, Azunara returned her attention to the others. "Whatcha guys talking about?" she asked.
