Gondria bug?

Ive been camping Skoll in the storm peaks with gondria and killing a few mobs here and there, he hasnt been attacking, sometimes he will but then he will just stand there. I tried to see if it was my computer or the place we were at, but my other pets worked fine. Does anyone else have this problem?

I only had Gondria for a short while, but I can't say I experienced any problems of this kind with her.

Hmm, and if you tested it out with different pets in the same location....that's odd. *scratches head*

could be any number of things happening
only one i can think of is lag very unlikely but gondria is flashy so her visuals may be causing you to lag

I've had a pet attack delay here and there. Only thing I've ever thought of is it's lag. Can't say I've noticed it with my Gondria more or less than others. My devilsaur did it today, but I think it's because I'd just dismounted.

Of course, when I signed on today, I was mounted in SW. I hit "hearth". My current pet's namebar/health/etc popped up. Then he did. The same size he was in Un'Goro crater. The HUGE WHITE DEVILSAUR. I didn't get a screenie, wish I had!

I'll also put the blame on lag. My gondria has always worked just fine.

Its not lag thats for sure, i havent lagged since ive gotten this computer, acturis and loque did fine o.0 they have flashy affects and just a couple minutes ago a guild of 100 people got together in org and i didnt lag at all.

Could you give us some more details on exactly what took place when the bug occurred? Like...what were you killing, how were you sending her to attack (Were you telling her too, or just had her on defensive?), etc, etc.

Sure, i was attacking the ice protodrakes and rhinos near one of skolls spawns, at first she was on defensive and just stood there, after 5 seconds she would attack then stop again while the rhinos attacking me. Then i just stood there end sent him to attack and again he stopped for 5 seconds and went attacked, stopped then started attacking normal.

Hmm....that sounds like something that happens when the mob you're attacking somehow gets out of the line of sight, or is on a piece of terrain that glitches it to evade bug or something.

I can't really say for sure though, odd. =/

Yeah i dont know =/, it might go away later, but they havent been saying evade and they've been out in the open, its just weird lol

Hmm....though I do know that those Rhinos are scripted targets for the blue Protos to kill and grab...perhaps something like that is interfering somehow?

I know I'm grasping at straws, but still.. xD

It's fun to attack something that's flying with a warp stalker. Warp, get a bite in, and then fall down, and just stand there and wait. Good times.

Another suggestion: Have you checked your autocasts? Bite mightve gone off, and thus your pet would just do standard melee attacks until it's special is ready again

yeah i checked everything, its weird. I love attacking the protos with warp stalkers! Last time deathwarp stayed up in the sky, i tried to get a screenshot but the protodrake covered her most of the time.

Sometimes lag isn't on your end, but in the game itself. Like, your FPS and frame rate are fine, but there is DEFINITELY server lag. I've had that happen (OMG JOUSTING IMPOSSIBLE) when it wasn't my connection, but it was a lag spike that affected everyone around me too.

Doesn't sound like that was necessarily the case in this situation, but I've always figured it was a "hiccup" from the game if it's happened to me. I'll try to keep an eye out and see if I notice it happening during certain stuff.

To me it just sounds like the evade bug...my pets will frequently refuse to attack something if it's glitchy. Usually it's just a mob standing still in one area and not moving though.

I HAVE seen glitches with those rhinos on other chars though. I remember I was farming rhinos for meat for the cooking daily on my rogue once, and all of a sudden the thing's health jumped up again and I couldn't attack it. Seconds later, a protodrake dived down and stole my rhino. Stupid jerk.

EDIT: Almost forgot. Spirit beasts are stutterers since they use the long-ranged spirit strike. Maybe something was glitching with that? My Loque'Nahak ALWAYS stops long enough to send off his spirit strike before he charges back in. Maybe your Gondria is stopping, but not attacking with SS?
