New slimy visual effect pet trick in Shadowlands
Heya, long time no see Petopia. I had a fun visual glitch happen while I was exploring and after someone told me that the Petopia twitter was actively seeking information on this, I decided I should post, because I've found two fairly reliable ways to reproduce it. The end result is a semi-permanent...

Re: My Hati is an undead now
How about this baby murloc in Howling Fjord? :) http://i.imgur.com/n7YGvpG.png It's called Chillmere Oracle, and it's a bit tricky to do. You probably need to get res sickness, as it's level 71 and has a very hard time hitting you. The hex it uses to turn your pet into a murloc only has a 3 second d...

Re: Taming Buff Pets in 5.1 --Guide--
We might've talked about this a lot already, but I'm not sure if it's been posted here -- might as well put it up since it's useful info. After a taming a pet, they will gain their health back to 100% IF they ding -- that is, if they are below your current level. Otherwise, they will stay at the per...

We tested the consumed thistle bears, they still work and keep their buff when they die.

Re: Taming Buff Pets in 5.1 --Guide--
We found some sha basilisks in dread wastes that keep their buff through death! They're Amberscale Basilisks -- the ones south of Heart of Fear have a sha buff on them.

Ik'thik Terrorclaw is the one that keeps its buff after death. Seething Fleshripper is much easier to tame, but does not keep its buff after death.Twila wrote:Where are the squorpids that keep the sha touch on death?

Why yes, they do! Both my oily friend and I have died probably 10 times today, in fact.Bodhran wrote:I can't recalled if the oil-stained worgs retain their buff through death. Been quite some time since I pulled mine out. Anyone recall?

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
Why does the dueling help? Is it because the 2nd person can get a small margin of extra time to kill the pet even when it becomes my pet but b4 it resets its HP and its DING? That's pretty much what our guess was. There's a small window of time after you tame a pet before it resets to full health. ...

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
Can anyone -please- confirm rather or not the sa touched beats, namly the cats/cranes keep the effect if they die? No ones really said much on it. I rather know before going though the effort for a pet I'd be scared to use. The cat and the crane both lose their buff when they die. However, the croc...

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
I think I've got more good news! The sha-buffed crocolisk, Coldbite Matriarch , appears to keep its appearance buff through death. We haven't successfully tamed one yet, because it's got over a million health and takes a while to whittle it down, combined with the fact that it's a quest mob and ther...

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
Just in case you didn't notice, I typed the macro wrong (it's 6 AM, maybe I should sleep) -- it should've been /cast [nochanneling] Revive Pet -- but you get the idea. Good luck!

Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
So I was unsuccessful in my attempts about an hour ago and decided to take a break. I just started my attempts again and noticed that casting revive now interrupts the tame cast. That is one speedy hotfix! We noticed this too, but fear not! We just used the tried and true /cast [nochanneling] Reviv...

Sorry for the double-post, but I come with good news! I'll make another thread about this in a minute, probably. The oil-stained wolf is STILL tamable with the method I just posted above! Re: It works, Sha aura effect pet
Just decided to register since I managed to finally tame my cat; I think I've got a few tips that might be helpful for others. This is the method we used to tame three of them in the past 15 minutes: 1) Find a friend. I brought a level 90 hunter friend, since he wanted one too. 2) Start a duel with ...
