Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

A new build has be deployed onto the ptr and it is listed as a release candidate. This mean that the pre patch is likely to be next or, at the latest, the week after. Of course things could still be changed on the Beta builds in terms of pets, but it is very unlikely that anything more will be done ...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Regarding the one headed core hound, that will probably be something that we'll get in the xpac after SL. Generally, things in raids are not made tamable until two xpacs later. There is also the issue that, as far as I know, only the Horde have access to them, so it would probably be better if some ...

These will probably never be tamable. These creatures are boggarts, which are shape shifting spirits. Even still, a neat find. I saw them myself a bit earlier :)

Echo of the Spy? That's a pretty bad spy if they're making echoing sounds! Nice find.
Thanks :)

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I had a dream that I was on ptr, and tamed an electrical beaver on the Isle of Thunder. Sadly, it was just a dream, and rodents still suck for variety until Maw rats are widely available. RIP. It's safe to assume that the hunt for new tameables is over for now, yeah? Unless there is a random taming...

Has anyone checked the honored raptors in King's Rest? They are classified as Undead but they've got a neat glow like the Legion purple hippagrphs.
They are currently untamable and are not members of any Pet family.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Went to check the Darkwarren Matriarch. Isn't currently tamable. Of course this is a separate npc from the one supposedly added, but it still seems odd that they would add a tamable version of something that already exists. I tried to search for anything added under today's build in Wowhead's databa...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

The frog, hounds, spider, wind serpents, stags, mawrat, gargon (labeled as a cat), and the first carapid are things that we either already have tamable variants of or are NPCs that have existed in the game for a while now. Erezuel is a mob that has solely been apart of Missions. The Darkwarren Matri...

I think that they’re trolling. The build they listed isn’t in the database.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I will point out that most of those npcs are either things we already have, are in the wrong family, or are already npcs found in Missions.

It is very odd that just one Matriarch would be made tamable and the rest would not.

Re: Ardenweald Shadow Courser

Night Mare can be tamed, but it won't be until the next xpac. Aside from possibly retaining her name, Night Mare doesn't have a unique model. The shadowy effect is only present when you are not under the effects of the Dream Catcher, which allows you to attack her. Due to you having to go into the H...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I hope for fixes and new additions, but at this point I am doubtful that anything more is going to be done. Next week is likely to be the last build before 9.0.1 launches, and Blizz honestly has more important things to take care of and fix than the tamability of certain pets.

Re: Have you forgotten about these guys in Outland? Can we ask Blizz to make them tamable please?

Something that kinda annoys me about the current Hawkstrider model is that, when looked at from the side, it looks like they constantly have this weird smile. Another thing is how their beak does not fully open whenever they cry out.

Re: Simple Tome of Bone-Binding

Which NPC is it? Maybe he's bugged or needs a specific event to happen to make him take damage. He is bugged and has been for most of Beta. Most recently he has been afflicted with another bug that has made him giant. is it the spinning bug guys near the tauralus rare? No, not that one.

Re: Simple Tome of Bone-Binding

No news :( We believe we know which NPC will drop it (though clearly we can't prove that yet). But it appears that the NPC is unkillable currently because he evades when you try. Very frustrating. Which NPC is it? Maybe he's bugged or needs a specific event to happen to make him take damage. He is ...

Re: Hunter Trainers

Thanks :) I was actually considering new ranks, if the community thinks it's a good idea. One I was was considering was "Pet Hunter" (name negotiable) for members that are especially prolific in finding new pets and reporting updates on older ones. Maybe a green name? Another was "Pet Artist" or "A...
